My boy bet 1,000 (to win 900) that he would make it past the 8th round.

After the 8th round, he wanted to go ahead and leave... He knew as well as anyone else, that Clottey was done.

I couldn't agree more with this thread....I don't get it...typical case of a guy losing one fight, and he is "disgrace" "a bum" "club fighter"

Clottey fought his style...the style that won him the IBF belt at one point....What did people expect? Clottey to trade with pacquiao, and "go to war"?....That has never been Josh's style....He fought a good fight...Pacquiao was just better, good win for manny against a solid former champion...

While I agree that Clottey did alot of what he normally does, to say he 'fought a good fight' is a stretch.

heart? the ****ing guys LIFE is climaxing at this one moment and instead of TRYING to take advantage of this opportunity he goes into a shell and is content with just going 12. i would imagine that Clottey 20 years from now will look back on his preformance and be like "why didnt i just take it!".

the guy didnt win a round.....theres a point in time when a fighter accepts hes not gonna win and fights to survive, sparring, defensive....he figured that out by round 3 or 4.....if he was "trying to win" pacman "tried" 10 times harder

Clottey looked like he was trying to survive and not win, it was obvious and I don't know why someone would defend that. Even his trainer complained that he was too afraid to let his hands go. If they were fighting at the local club then thats one thing. But Clottey was fighting in front of a huge crowd, large ppv audience, and was making big money last night. I wouldn't call him a disgrace but I hope I see no more of Clottey in the future.

"Went out on his shield" would be what Cotto did. Maybe you should learn an expression before you attempt to use it next time. :good

cLOTTY JUST PROVED TO ME WHAT i'VE BEEN SAYING FOR A LONG TIME NOW, the reason he covered himself to much is because his chin is not that tough. He'll just cover himself and take a loss than getting exposed of having a glass jaw.

Did Kevin Johnson fight with heart? no, then how the hell does Clottey get away with this bull****?
