small men tends to have a harder time going up with that exact number of pounds so you should look at it as percentage gain.

106-147 is around 38.7% increased in weight. 135-200 is around 48% gain while 135-175 gain is around 29.6% gain. thus in effect a lightweight moving to cruiser is what pac did when he went from flyweight to welter.

  2. Pacquiao

    It's not close either.

if Hagler didn't throw his last fight against Ray Leonard, I'd be picking him.

I'm taking nothing away from pacquiao, but still whitaker never got stopped by nobodies...singsurat, and torrecampo...Of course pacquiao is much different fighter now, but it is still part of his resume...

Head to head prime for prime...Whitaker beats him..imho

I'm sorry, I have to go with hometown hero Sweetpea, but Pacquaio and he would have been a hell of a fight.

whitaker beat a prime de la hoya when he was past it. Prime whitaker would outpoint pac. Pac wouldnt be able to get inside so easy against the best jab ive ever seen besides holmes and spinks. Trinidad with cast wraps couldnt stop sweet pete when he was past it. Prime vs prime pea outpoints him and theres no0thing to debate.

Pernell always had his hands down...

Someone should have told him to keep his guard up.

He didnt have the advantage of growing up in american gym lik pbf turned pro when he was 16, if he did he might be undefeated at this point.

Whitaker was not as good as Pacquiao.
