floyd was better off fighting manny the first time

now....he's in a worst scenario. he has to go thru mosley...and theres no guarantee that he will. even if he gets past mosley and still asks for olympic testing (in pac fight), all the pressure will be on him to make the fight. if pac refuses, the public wont care cause clottey didnt care and cotto didnt care and hatton didnt care, etc.....it will be on mayweather. and requesting olympic testing wont fly if he ask 4 it again. pac will walk away and retire happily. and the blame will be on floyd, not pac.:bbb

 

pac's fought twice since the last time mayweather has fought.

i hope pac pushes the fight to be in dallas.

 

Not like Floyd didn't ask Shane for blood testing. If he didn't then yes he would be considered ducking Pacquiao but that didn't happen.

Pac has been more active, remember Floyds last fight was after his long layoff. He is getting up there in age as well. Not saying he's slowing down or loosing his edge, but curious to see if the inactivity and age catches up to him in the Mosley fight.

 

if floyd beats mosley, and does better ppv #s than pac/clottey, pac will have lost a lot of negotiating power


1. he can't claim floyd is not a champion, and trying to take his belt (floyd would have mosley's)

2. he can't claim he is the bigger draw (although they will try using the attendance as an arguement)

3. he fought a punching bag, while floyd fought the top WW

he only asked 4 that to be consistent. if he didnt, the whole world wouldve called him on it. did he ever ask anyone 4 blood testing before??? never.

Doesn't matter if its the first time, he asked for it and it was reasonable. There always a first time for everything. That's how changes get made. Somebody in boxing asked for a catchweight for the 1st time.
