Just wondering, did Pacquiao-Clottey use 8 oz. or 10 oz. gloves? Pac's gloves looked a little bigger than usual to me. I am not sure of the rule in Texas, so help me out people.

  2. I would guess with 99.99999999999999999% certainty they were using 8oz gloves

That's what I was thinking since no one made mention of any bigger gloves being used. The gloves last night, mainly Pac's, just seemed bigger than usual.

Unless there was some kind of agreement from both teams they should have been 8oz.

10oz. are the standard for 147 fights, you have to get an agreement to fight with 8oz.

It depends on the state man but all around the world it is generally accepted that welters use 8oz gloves, 10oz starts at 154 usually.

Texas Commission has 8oz gloves for "up to and including 147".

No, 8 oz. is the standard for 147 lb fights everywhere else that I know of but Nevada. Nevada is the only comission which actually gives you a choice between 10 oz. and 8 oz. gloves for fighters all the way down to 135.
