Hard to disagree with 'boxing's being ruined by b/s'. But harsh pointing the finger directly at Green.

Green won the cruiserweight title as a piece of opportunism, no question whatsoever there. But he managed to roll into it bringing Roy Jones to Australia.

Jones has been a bloody legend of the sport, and whether he only lasted 2 minutes or not, Australia got to see an ATG fight here!

Green's not a great cruiser and he knows it. He's simply an advanced age fighter, in a comeback, looking to make some dough.

Green had a real crack at some big names after the Jones bout but they simply wouldn't wouldn't fight him - is that Green's fault?

That's why he's calling out Mundine, and ultimately why Mundine will accept his challenge - because there's seriously big dough to be made in Green v Mundine II.

The bigger picture:
In time it will only be the big match-ups that are remembered. The belts are in the main, not worth the materials they are made out of these days. There's nearly as many 'world' titles as there are registered fighters! So yeah, it'll only be the big match-ups and trilogies etc that are remembered in time IMO.

I for one didn't want to see the Shadow of what was once the most skilled fighter of a generation fighting here or anywhere else. Unfortunately history will show that Danny Green beat ROy Jones KO1. What it won't show is that in their primes Jones would have beaten Green for every second of every minute of every round the fight lasted. History is being distorted out of all proportion and it's plain wrong

I don't begrudge Green going for the $$ but now he should pick a division and stick to it

Unfortunately ATG's well past their prime are likely to be the best we'll see in OZ. I went to Sydney just to watch RJJ train - and I'm very glad I did.

Of course a prime Roy would have owned Green - nothing Einsteinish about that conclusion. But it's not Green's fault Roy doesn't know when to quit. Unfortunately he and many others, past and present, just don't know when to call it a day.

Why does Green have to pick one division and stick to it mate? Because you say so??

The fight game's now full of division hoppers, right or wrong.

You don't have to look far to find another prominant Aussie fighter who must be getting confused what division he's fighting in this week.
