Seems like every boxer is conceited and overconfident when it comes to their own skills vs. any other discipline.. That, the only, "real" fighting is standing up and throwing hands.. I wish Toney the best, hope he gets a taste of that humble pie before he gets in the ring for a pro fight and gets humiliated by a nobody with d- level ground game.
I'll agree strongly with this, except for the "every" part. There are some very, very good but humble boxers out there. I love those guys. But, yeah, it's amazing to see how absurdly arrogant some of these guys are.
The debate in theory is stupid, however the debate in practise has remain to be unseen. edit- Video was entertaining as hell. Toney can't wait to get those MMA gloves on.
i was waiting for toney to mouth off at bas at some stage. but by the look of it he knows who hes talking to..
ffs, Ray has a big gut. On the topic: One sport is about men standing up and fighting, the other is about going to the ground like bitches.
are you serious fella??i`m a boxing man through and through but recently i have been training a bit of muay thai and bjj to get some first hand experience to add to my boxing and let me tell you,you won`t be calling a guy who has just swept and then kimura`d you a *****..probably "sir"!!! i don`t see it as a tit for tat debate.mma is a combination of a number of disciplines, one of which is boxing.
I'm not saying it's not hard training or it's not effective because it is. That's why it's used. I'm saying it's a ***** move. I'm saying when you're not man enough to stay on your feet and fight someone you try and grab him and get him to the ground. I love boxing and I love some martial arts (I did Ashihara). But not that weak wrestling ****.
