    Money May is already p4p #1 and is the undefeated linear welterweight champion.

    Beating Mosley will just solidify his position as number 1.

    Pac by ranking.... although in reality most already think Floyd is better anyway. A decisive victory over Mosley would just solidify that.

    However If Mayweather wants it to be official he's gotta beat Pac or hope that he loses.

    That's why he is #1.

    You don't take the #1 spot by beating up a 40 year old man.

    Mosley is the second best guy at welter after money may because he KOed Margo who KOed Cotto

    Pac fought a damaged goods cotto at 145 and bob arum paid clottey to give pac the fight.

    i think as pac comes of a win over an unranked guy

    and mayweather would be coming of a win over the number 3 guy , he should go to number one

    im not sure what the rules are regarding loosing the number one spot , surely they cant keep it untill they loose or retire because say a fighter from another division goess out and destroys aloud of ranked opposision surely he then goes to number one

    If you had to beat the current P4P #1, then anyone above Light Middleweight, and anyone below Lighweight would never become P4P best.

    Thats why it is known as Pound for Pound
    it aint a title u win by beating up the champ

    sorry but to be linear champ you have to beat the linear champ an that be sugar shane mosley who beat antonio who beat cotto. and if any one thinks mosley is to maywether what clottey was to pac is sadly mistaken cause shane is another level an will no doubt be highly skilled an most entertaing fight an who ever wins will be top ww . maywether retired reliquished his baldo belt an until he beats the man who beat the man he doesnt have that title.. its stll shanes untill it is taken from him

    If you're ******ed enough to think that mayweather will perform better against mosley than he did against marquez, you should stop watching boxing.

    He didn't take it from pac pre-cott/clottey, how in the **** is he going to take it back by beating an old guy? WHO HE WAS FORCED TO FIGHT???
