as All time Greats. Lets say top 100 ATG

    MAB, PAC, Erik, JMM

Id say Pac inside top 50

    MAB and Erik between 70-80

JMM out of the top 100

I am doing this objectively..by looking of the 2 or 3 lists that are out right now.

    Pac top 40.

    MAB top 60.

    Erik top 75.

JMM low 90's or outside of the top 100.

    ....................

And over time they will separate old timers and modern guys, trust me, because it's not even comparable and two different entities within the sports history. Either that or the really old timers that are ranked so highly now are going to begin to not be mentioned or drop down the list, guys like Jack Dillon for example, who I'd bet 95% of the General Forum knows nothing about.

Then overrated guys like Maxim and Bivins, who achieved wins over some of the top guys in their era despite also losing to average comp at their best will not be mentioned within our sports top 100 either and guys like Pac when it's all said and done will be mentioned higher, as will guys like RJJ.

Fair, this is of course Pac beating two or three more legit contenders..otherwise you can lump MAB, him and Erik.

Well Chimba, if he beats JMM and Guzman and then defeat several 135 prominent 135 pounders, then you could easily rank him top 25, because he'd have defeated some SERIOUS competition overall as well as become a serious multi-division champion in the process.

JMM and Guzman are crucial here. Guzman being a big stylistic nemesis, but I personally think Guzman will defeat him.

Shame Guzman is so old and his career was wasted, he's truly a gifted fighter, but he can either make the best of what he has left or become a nice resume mark for Pac or JMM....:D

As a PAC fan... even if he beats, JMM and Guzman and Juan D. I just cannot see him cracking the top 25. I guess I really underestimate JMM, Guz, and Juan..I really frankly dont see them as great great fighters that can catapult someone that high from beating them..If he beats Floyd at 135, then hell yeah but thats wishful thinking

Beating Juan Diaz means more than you think. It's like that threshold where he shouldn't be able to cross. It's the breaking point. It dwarfs anything he has done so far because Diaz is young and big and strong.

It's put into perspective though. He's already a top 50, has a good overall resume, not a complete one, but a good one none the less. JMM and Guzman victories would secure his dominance at 130, then if he went and wiped out several prominent 135 pounders like I said(this would be very difficult for Pac), then he'd be an undoubtable top 25, because 135 is such a long STRETCH for someone like him.

Pac comes in at 140 or so fight night, these 135's come in in the 150's, they're a lot bigger and some are very good, like baby bull.

If baby bull unified the titles and became undisputed and Pac were to win, that would mean a whole lot, if that makes sense. This is all just dreaming though...

Not trying to fish for anything...but I'm looking at it from a perspective of other fighters in that list..Theres RJJ, Larry Holmes, Thomas Hearns...I just cannot put PAC above thses guys unless he fights another Titan at that weight...

I cant explain it..but lets say Valero or Linares turns out to be beasts in two years, I mean unbelievable like PAC now.

if PAC beats them then yes Top 25

Valero and Linares are what they are. Juan Diaz is absolutely a beast at 135.

I'll put it this way, Ruiz is a shitty HW, but he's a 'stretch' for any LHW to beat due to size and factors and RJJ gets a lot of credit for dominating him at HW. For Pac to KO Diaz, which is a big stretch, especially if Diaz has beaten all LW comp, then that'd be something short of incredible.

He'd be right in there with those guys, especially if he beats JMM and Guzman, the 2 best fighters at 130 aside from Pac.

Yeah but even without those ifs he might already be ahead of MAB and erik when the next ring list comes out...

Wow all I can say is that you are high on Guzman, geez I think Soto has a few surprises for him November. And you are obviously sold on Juan.. I think a JMM of even 2 years ago..I would consider his nemesis and would have done more for Pacs legacy than Diaz or Joan

Guzman is one of the few 'supernaturals'. A win over one of these few means a whole lot.

I'm not high on Diaz, I'm just stating the obvious in regards to him, if you don't consider him a serious LW factor, then you need to look at what he's currently doing. I'm not saying Diaz is a garaunteed ATG, I'm just saying he is quite a little beast and will be tough for anyone.

Soto's going to get thrashed, nasty.

Tell me who are the 49 guys ahead. Where do you think Pac would be if he lost against any 130 champion.
