If he wouldn't bend on any issues after the drug-testing, why would he agree to a fifty-fifty split if he currently wants more?

Look, i'm not knocking you at all, that plan looks good on paper and if Arum/Pac/Mayweather etc. had heads half as cool as yours we would have watched them duke it out on Saturday, that's for sure. What i'm saying to you is, in the cut, things just don't go that smoothly. The intricacies of the Pacquiao lawsuit and his exact status in relation to the doping scandal are what will define negotiations when they get back to the table. There will be weight-makers you and I don't know exist and probably will never ever hear of.

For me, i'm torn now. I was in the "this fight will happen no matter what" camp, but there is a serious amount of bitterness surrounding this fight at this time. The fact that a ten day difference in drug testing deadlines can scupper it tells that story. The fact that there was no Mayweather counter offer on timing makes me very nervous aswell.

It seems their moving farther apart on this.... Pac seems like he's not willing to do any extra testing now, and Floyd wants more money...

If Pacquiao has a flat out win defermation case on his hands, he might play serious hardball. It's one of the biggest factors in the negotiation now, and they couldn't even get the thing done when there was no case.

Solid, but I disagree with #1.

If anyone buckles during the negotiation stage it's more than likely going to have to be Floyd. He cares more about the money than Pacquiao does.

Floyd can't fight in Texas because Xylocaine is a banned substance there.

They should do a 20 day cut off on blood, infinite random urine, and completely drop the weight limit clause to say "if anyone is over 147, they take 40%"
if anyone fails a drug test they take 40%

The best thing Manny can do is just accept the demands and kick his ass therefore it will backfire right in Floyd's face and victory would be much sweeter IF he won. I still think Mayweather will win and will root for Floyd but won't be surprised if Manny wins.

I can make it simpler. Random blood testing with the 14 window (apparently Team Pacquiao accepted this) and as for the venue, it has to be Vegas. Vegas is the home of boxing now. The purse should be winner takes all. That way if both guys think they are P4P #1 they can prove it.

A 20 day cutoff on the blood testing renders it useless. There's no reason to do it with a 20 day cutoff. They either do it right or don't do it at all. That's why I say scrap the blood testing because Manny isn't willing to do it right.

Just go with the commission for a standard welterweight fight.

    1, No blood tests

    2, Standard overweight penalties

    3, 10oz gloves

    etc.

It isn't useless. You need to have some blood testing to demonstrate that hematocrit is normal and not elevated from doping or EPO. Of course, you also need the post-fight bloodwork. The blood tests with cutoff and unlimited random urine tests Pac agreed to are comprehensive.

Victor Conte is well versed in all these different PEDs. It's his opinion that 10 days should be the largest window. Anything larger than thet and the PED(including EPO) can be cycled out of the system. As a result, with a 20 day window, someone could blood dope from the 20 day point up until about a week before the fight and it wouldn't show up in the post fight blood test. Now I don't believe that EPO gives all that much benefit in boxing(although it will help). Because of this belief, I'd be willing to just go with random **** tests if I were Mayweather. However, If I were insistent on the blood tests I would never allow a 20 day window as it's too easy to get around.

floyd has agreed to everything pac wants, including the 50-50 split, $10m fine for weight overlimit, everything...but its pac who isnt agreeing to floyds request, so why should floyd scrap the blood tests? why cant pac accept it if floyd has accepted all of pacs demands? :think
