I'm coming from an objective point of view here. If I were someone who wanted to ensure a level playing field, I would be willing to forgoe the blood testing if it meant saving the fight. HGH and EPO are the only PEDs that are detected through blood. There is no proven athletic benefit to HGH, and it comes with numerous negative side effects. EPO will help in terms of stamina, but I don't believe it's enough of a benefit to ruin a huge fight like this over it.

From Mayweather's perspective, I can understand if he didn't want to scrap the blood testing. He was willing to comprimise and there's no good reason for Pac not to be able to take a blood test 14 days before the fight. So from a purely scientific point of view, I feel that the **** tests are enough to ensure a level playing field. At the same time, there is no scientific reason that Pac shouldn't take the tests 14 days out. If we go to reasons outside of the scientific field, each side can present reasons why they are right. In the end, nothing will get solved unless someone cracks. It looks like the opposite is happening though. Floyd no longer wants to comprimise on the testing window and Arum is no longer willing to allow Pac to be subjected to any non commission testing. Arum also wants the fight in Dallas which would mean no testing.

They should tie Duddy and Chavez Jr to a telephone pole on the outskirts of town.

There's no way the Pacquiao clan would have refused that kind of offer. If you can manage to make Mayweather opt out of random blood tests, then the fight is made, no problem.

The EPO can make a difference. However, that **** is dangerous. You could die from using it if you don't have someone that knows that **** very well administering it. You also need all sorts of equipment. The chances of Pacquiao being on it and it being the difference in the fight are small enough that I would be willing to not test for it. As far as the video, I've seen it. They guy makes some good points and I can totally understand why Mayweather wants additional testing. On the other hand, I don't understand why Pac doesn't want to take the tests. None the less, he doesn't want his blood taken within 24 days. From my point of view, an even playing field can be ensured without the blood tests which is why I be willing to forgoe them.

I'm not even sure of that anymore. Arum says he will not agree to any non commission testing. Roach and Pac would definately jump on that offer though.

Yeah I agree and this raises so many questions, which is why Floyd will never budge in wanting the bloodtests in place. Its a shame really because this fight will be the biggest fight since Ali/Foreman in a lot of peoples opinion. I just hope pac can eventually accept the $25million bloodtests. :good

EPO works by elevating hematocrit (%red blood cells) much like training at altitude. Although EPO leaves the system quickly, the effects last weeks. If you use EPO for a fighting benefit, you'd need to have the elevated hematocrit during the fight. No extra red blood cells=no benefit. The post-fight blood test is necessary to catch this form of cheating.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that anabolic steroids or their metabolites show up in urine.

The narrator's points are stated and then refuted in green:

    1. Requesting a steroid test is not without precedence. Tyson requested one of Holyfield and Holyfield agreed.

    2. Tommy Morrison admitted using steroids throughout his career and was never caught.

    3. Shane Mosely took The Cream, The Clear, and EPO.

    4. Attempts to discredit the NSAC by stating that Mosley's trainer took a list of substances Shane was taking to the NSAC and they cleared them all.

    6. Quotes Margaret Goodman who says that steroids aren't necessarily used for bulking up, rather they are used so athlete's can train harder.

    7. Flip Homansky, “If you know the testing schedule, you shouldn't get caught. Only way to catch is testing between competition.”

    8. Supposedly quotes a ******* that says “Random tests don't matter, Manny agreed to do a test 24 days before the fight and after the fight (why would Manny picking his testing dates matter)?"

    9. Regarding several boxing insiders that have expressed suspicion towards Pacquiao, “There are probably many reasons why they feel that way, and I'm sure word of mouth has something to do with it.”

    10. Brings up Manny's energized performance vs Diaz, when just 3months prior, he looked sluggish vs Marquez. He “magically looks like a 22 yr old high volume puncher.”

    11. Says that Manny gave blood directly before the Hatton fight and then slips in that it was 14 days out.

    13. “People believe that Pacquiao lost to Morales because of a blood test, but Manny knew he was gonna be taking a blood test, and has anyone even taken the time to entertain the thought that Manny might have gone into that fight off a PED and the fact he didn't use enhancers before the fight are the reasons why he was sluggish in the bout.”

    14. “We will never know if he's clean until he agrees to year-round Olympic-style testing.”

    15. Brings up Ariza's famous statement about Manny not knowing what he takes. Narrator's response: “I also find this statement contradictory. If Manny is afraid of giving blood, how can someone so cautious about giving blood not know what he's putting in his body?”

    16. Brings up all the baseball players that were suspected of using steroids.

#1 was the only hurdle they had. Pac already agreed to unlimited random urine testing.

And the $10M per pound also was a BS but surely I would assume $2M was more than enough for Pac to agree...
