Two time US Amateur World Champion, Two time Olympian even fought Guillermo Rigondeaux. Why not turn pro? The Amateur scoring system is a JOKE!

From what I've heard, it's very difficult to market black American fighters in the lower weight divisions. He wouldn't get the same sort of support that the Latin and Asian American fighters do down there. I'm not sure how much validity there is to that, but it's what I recall when I investigated this a bit myself.

There is VERY LITTLE validity with that assumption. This kid can flat out box with a Crowd Pleasing style. And I would imagine that he''l settle in at 126lbs as a pro. Now he's fighting at 119lbs.

However, Ten U.S. boxers have signed on to participate in "The World Series of Boxing", the new professional "style" league created by AIBA, which allow boxers to maintain their Olympic eligibility and compete in a modified pro set-up. Personally, I have never heard of this, but there is NO Head-Gear. I would love to see this event. This is why we need a 24hr Boxing Channel...I mean damn, theres NBATV, MLB Channel, NFL Network, Speed and Nascar Channel, Outdoor Hunting Channel, Golf Channel European and Ltin American Soccer Channels...etc (But that's another thread for another time).

    But again...He should turn pro.

Again thanks for the vid and I have to agree with you there needs to be a 24/7 boxing channel. Frankly that will bring at least a few more people into boxing plus it's my favorite sport and NFL network isn't cool for me anymore.
