    Calzaghe vs Hopkins

    Williams vs Winky

    Manny vs Clottey

I guess some "fans" should be sharp enough to draw conclusions from these.

    Peace.

Don't see how you can consider Calzaghe to be Hopkins' achilles heel when Hopkins was a major underdog and made an SD out of it.

Floyd's never been with a volume puncher so you don't know.

yeah but you better be more than just a volume puncher. miranda can throw 100 punches a round. those volume punchers you listed are some of the best in the game. and the winky of several years ago makes a go of it against paul. the man is old and hadnt fought in damn near two years.

i don't understand this reasoning at all...Hatton at the time was a volume puncher, and the minority that was picking ricky said hatton would break him down by throwing a lot of punches and putting pressure on....Most of mayweather's opponents have had the same gameplan of trying to put pressure on Floyd....I'm almost certain Roach will order up the same recycled **** that doesnt work against floyd....Keep the activity rate up, go to the body, and keep coming forward....If that happens, Mayweather counters him all night....

I would look at the de la hoya fight as a better indicator on how to deal with floyd, then hatton, castillo 1, corley, judah...etc....

  8. JMM is not a defensive fighter by any stretch of the imagination.

Miranda isn't what you call a volume puncher thats why he lost to defensive fighter.

Floyd's achiless heel will be a southpaw volume/power puncher, with quick fists and fast feet, aka Pacquiao.

Hatton is a brawler not a volume puncher.

  12. winky vs mosley shuts that **** the **** down. A good defensive boxer with a great counter will embarass a volume puncher.

Clottey would have proved that if he wasnt acting like a *****.

Hatton was throwing above average output for a jr. WW at the time, and had one of the highest outputs of his carear against collazo at WW....

Also Malignaggi, who in someways is the poor man's mayweather, beat juan diaz, a volume puncher, arguably twice...

There difrent styes and methods of defense. Yes a turttle shell defensive boxer will lose to a volume puncher. Howevwer Mayweather is not a turttle shell style desensive boxer. Unlike the turttle shell style which waits for an opoent to tire out. Which is a mistake in fighting volume punchers as they have increadable stanama. Mayweather however is always in poistion to punch. He will let Pacquiao come to him and pick him off.
