Sugar Ray Leonard was green? He was coming off an accomplished performance over prime Wilfred Benitez, and had decimated, destroyed, almost killed both Andy Price and Dave Green before Montreal. To say Leonard was green is to be stupid and misinformed.

pretty good poll. A few months ago Pacquioa didn't even come close to Duran. Now it is getting closer.

This looks like a green fighter, certainly.

we know Ray had skills and that proves Ray is good, but what proves Duran is? losing to Ray easy in the rematch/

Absolutely, but the three fights I mentioned all took place immediately before Montreal.

It was in response to your bull**** about Ray being green. You've just been proven wrong, again, perhaps it's about time you started showing some respect to Roberto Duran and his career.

Right but my point was that he beat a long line of guys who would grab an alphabet title today .He beat them long before facing Duran, So he was far from Green. His resume by that time was already better than almost anyone fighting today.

If Pacquiao beats Mayweather and/or Mosley I don't think the question is so riduculous.

Fighters are often underrated in comparison to previous great fighters in the present, but I think retrospectively Pacquiao could well be regarded as up there with Duran (if he beats Mayweather and/or Shane, like I said).

Duran is clearly the bigger fighter so comparing him to pacquiao like you guys are doing is clearly unfair cause pac surely loses in those perspective. But consider this: Pac has been a lineal champion at 112 and 122. Nobody has done that in a hundred years.

Probably his Lightweight reign, his landmark victory over prime Ray Leonard, his 4 titles in as many weight classes, and Duran should probably be credited for both the single greatest victory of all time, as well as the single greatest past prime performance of the last 30-40 years. Respected wins over Palomino, Marcer, Moore, Viruet, Kobayashi, and De Jesus aren't counted by you because they aren't what you consider All-Time Greats. At the same time, you credit Manny for his wins over Cotto, Hatton, and Clottey though. :huh
