The second point is a **** one on Warrens part. King et al have options on 3 fights with Haye, one is this next one against Ruiz. That leaves them with only 2 bouts to cash in and make as much money as they can off Haye before he is a free man, so why the **** would they push for a rematch of a fight that does not interest the US in general, was boring the first time around and is never going to sell as well in terms of PPV as a multitude of other options?

Hatton is defintly losing on his shows, When he announces his retirement his promotionl outfit will most definitly suffer as his pull with sky will drop!! His shows are never full..he's bidding top money for fights when they simply ain't worth that much,If he carries on I can see it being folded within 18 to 24 months, It's just too much.:-(

Im 100% certain that the Valuev rematch will not happen.
    a) Nobody wants it too
    b) Valuev will not want to give up home advantage by fighting in UK
    c) Haye will pay him step-aside money and fight the more lucrative fight vs. one of the Klits.... providing he beats Ruiz.

As you know only too well Tony, the promotional game needs a hell of a lot of hard work and organisation to make it pay. Spending days utterly hammered is not how it is done. My suspicion is that he only got his Sky dates because he was fighting, not unlike Haye with Setanta. I would be surprised to see him stick at it/

Sky have always given him exactly what he wants, I don't see that changing for a while yet unless he really starts putting on **** fights on a regular basis.

The next Sky date doesn't look too promising though, Anthony Small and Matthew Hatton on the same bill...... I think I'll watch the Eastenders repeat on BBC 3 thanks.

No issues for Hatton Promotions with Sky - dates are set - maybe Mr Warren has though ?
Has Mr Warren a TV contract ?
For instance does anyone know which TV outlet will be showing the Mitchell bill, which happens to be a Saturday, and worse than that FA Cup Final day !
Hatton Promotions are in it for the long haul.

Warren, as far as I know, doesn't have a TV contract.

I imagine Haye-Valuev 2 would not be the exact same fight though. I imagine it would be over here and that Haye would open up earlier, encouraged by the final round from the first fight.

Wouldn't start up promotional outfits like Hattons, who wanted to fast track to the top of the pile, expect to lose money on their shows for the first 2 or 3 years?

I know we have several high-flying, international business entreprenuer types on the Brit forum. May be they could shed some light....?

rule number 1 of promoting NEVER put on a show with your own money:deal

as far as I am aware Macklin has a 4 fight deal with hatton

his last fight in Ireland didnt count as one of the four so thats 3 fights and I think Ricky wants him to get a world title fight by then

It all helps to promote Hatton and Haye if it's in the Sun newspaper.
It's all publicity so they are not bothered. ;)
