You dont come off a masterclass performance against Miguel Cotto to fight a walking punchbag like Clottey and get lots of credit for it!!! We all knew what would happen and it was always gonna be an easy nights work for Pacquiao. Some may make the argument that Clottey was the highest ranking welterweight out there, but just take a look at the welterweight division for a minute... who else is there besides Mayweather? Pacquiao would have had a sterner test had he stepped down to a more comfortable 140 and fought some great fighters down there, but Clottey was a fight made to make Pacquiao look good!!

A lot. The reason Clottey lost was because Pacquiao was too good. How can you not give credit to someone who's worked hard for years, absolutely ruined a top 5 WW in a weight class which Pacquiao shouldn't be big enough to compete in in the first place? Clottey ain't **** at all, he's just not on Pacquiao's level. It's not comparable to Mayweather-JMM. Clottey is a prime welterweight and Pacquiao went up to face him. JMM was a past prime lightweight fighting at WW. They're no where near the same credibility.

You give him credit for beating Cotto but not Clottey? Mate Clottey gave Cotto a good fight, in fact he should have taken the chance and won. Some reckon he did win.

exactly. why does he get so much credit for such a step down in class of opponent? i honestly would have given him much more credit for fighting Maidana or Bradley @ LWW. at least they would have given pac something to think about.

Cotto gave him a fight... Cotto landed much bigger punches on Pac than Clottey did... Cotto came to win... Cotto was a genuine challenger who could possibly have caused an upset!!!

Oh come on? Maidana? :rofl He'd give Pacquiao something to think about whilst he's listing **** fights for Khan.
You must really dislike Clottey. I'd type more but I'm using the ps3 and it takes about 5mins to spell one word

he got knocked down by ortiz twice to get up and knock him out and you dont think he would get past the 1st round with Pacquiao? Your boxing analysis is overwhelming :huh

He would lose to Pacquiao for sure, but he would DEFINATELY prove a better opponent than Clottey.

Maidana doesn't have the power to keep Pacquiao off of him. If Pacquiao was in the same situation as Ortiz after he had floored Maidana in the 1st he would have took him out, not get floored himself. Plus add to the fact that Pacquiao is much better than Ortiz as well.

Yes bringing girls home would be fun, not only do I have a ps3 in my room with some of the geekiest mmorpg or whatever online games I also have a keyboard so I can type to my online friends quicker too
Question answered already by kosaros thanks to my typing speed. Would you give credit to Pacquiao for knocking Maidana out in the first round? :think

Maidana would trade punches with Pacquiao, he would definately land some good shots on Pacquiao so theres always the possibility of him hurting him... but I agree that Maidana would be KO'd!!

    Maidana brings a fight
    Clottey brings a shell
