Mayweather wont be Pacquiao's punching bag

Pacman is out of his league. Floyd will school him and make him look foolish. I dont think there's anyone who can beat Floyd right now he is simply too fast and skillful. There's a reason why he has NEVER LOST a fight and he's won many big fights, not just bums.

Clottey was blocking punches. Floyd will be slippping and rolling with them. this will tire manny out, frustrate him and will not appear that Manny is winning the fight because he will be missing completely and constantly off balance.

 

Floyd will be able to control the pace of the fight. Many will slow down once he starts getting cracked with counter punches. Floyd isn't a big puncher, but he punches hard enough to get his respect in the ring. After saturday, I really don't see this being too difficult of a fight for Floyd. Hopefully I'm wrong.. lol

Marquez even went to Phils. to challenge manny for a 3rd fight but when Manny was looking to fight him, JMM sought refuge behind olympic testing. the irony.

 

floyd's never been in there with someone as fast if not faster than he is. he's gonna get hit a lot more than everyone thinks unless he spends the whole fight bent over below his knees (which is basically to be expected).

 

I keep hearing this from Pac fans. How come he still cant avoid a straight right as shown by Clottey?
The jab still gets through like a hot knife in butter.
He is basically the same. His chin has just proven a little tougher which could be the HGH if he is using them or maybe that he hasnt faced anyone that is willing to throw precise combinations at him like JMM has.
His last four opponents either only had a left hand or were just not active enough.
It takes combinations to push Pac back and make him ineffective. Not one of his last opponents have done that.

 

If PAc (the guy who beat better competition at WW than Floyd) is
out of Floyd league then who else is good enough?

 

It doesn't matter how fast you are when you fight Floyd. You're not going to hit him if your plan is to fly in with a flurry. It's all about timing, which involves strategy. This is where Manny loses the fight.

 

I strongly beg to differ Mayweather has problems with AGRESSiVE fighters. Thats a joke right?? Why is the Castillio I ALWAYS mentioned in this type of discussion point when it's acknowledge Floyd had a shoulder problem that fight and Castillio II is NEVER brought up where Floyd nullified Castillio's aggression??

Floyd LOVES agressive fighters, he's one of the few in the sport that can fight just as efficiently backward as he does forward. Mentioning the early part of Zab Judah fight is funny also considering Zab is a KNOWN front runner. All Floyd did was absorb what Zab had, recognized his timing (an important part of his style) and used that to pick him apart later.

Ricky Hatton all he did was come forward and we saw what happened. Oscar Dela Hoya fought OUTSIDE of himself in being an attempt to be aggressive and we saw what happened. You want to go back further,fine. Chico Corrales all he did was come forward and what happened?

The problem with AGGRESSION against a style like Floyd is that you leave yourself open to precision counters.

The threat that Manny poses to Floyd (I think he gets his socks boxed off but I'll acknowledge the threat) is his ability to give angles and deliver punches from unexpected places. But to do that he's going to have to get into punching range and Floyd is all about keeping guys off balance or creating an illusion of a target that isn't there.

I think there are a couple of ways to beat Mayweather but aggression isn't one of them..

 

good post, but i dont understand why you would say you have no interest in watching it, you pretty much outline exactly why this fight is something special, manny the unstoppable force and floyd the immovable object (or at least unhittable object)

 

all joyboys will be crying if pac defeats their idol! imagine what judah did to ur idol and then imagine what can pac do..


FLOYD cannot handle well the attacks of a southpaw and pac has the power to ko him.. he will be running all night surviving..
