Then Froch (if he is not the winner) for a British superfight as Froch will be on the slide after defeat/ageing
    It fun thinking like Frank!!!

Personally, I think both beat him over 6 right now and in 6-12 months they will both be ready to take him over 12. Hell, Groves will probably be ready after he goes 12 rounds with Adamu :yep

i rate groves big time and the sparring he's be getting or planned to do will work wonders imo. think degale is gona need abit more time tho.
i think ud see a better smigga if he thought groves as i dont think he will hold or smother smiths work allowing smith to get off his combinations we aint seen in his last few fights

no no no groves will get an early loss on his record mark my words he is gd but im not convinced though he is being matched strongly which i commend i think if either fought Smith in the next 12 months it would be a Tyson Fury Mcdermott affair but Smith would get the nod.

I am going to watch the whole of the smith dodson fight back tonight, but i have watched the first 3 round already, and some of the speed shown by smigga, and the way he was forcing the fight, and not resting on his laurels, i am not saying it makes him a world beater, before people jump on the bandwagon, but i saw a number of subtle differences in his approach to his work that were pleasing to see.
If he can combine these with staying out of clinches, and switching his attack as he used to, i think he has a great platform to move on. The fight from what i saw live wasn't bad, and paul's performance showed glimpses of what is to come.

  13. Good question, and not one I know the answer to, BUT, for me, Simgga having a crack at the WBO at the Echo would have less of a 'World Title Fight' feel than Neary Holligan in the park. Maybe because I was a kid & things look alot rosier when you look back.

Suppose it would all depend on the level of opponents he turned over before said title fight though.

Can anybody not see Frank getting him a WBO crack before even say a Euro shot?

    Cracking post :good

I can really see this. Smith should be able to get a shot at Steiglitz with FW behind him. I havent seen a lot of the fella so I cant rate Smigga's chances. However, in my opinion, Magee is a more difficult fight than people seem to think. I'd say it was more 70/30 Magee than 60/40.

Agree with everything you say though. He's got a chance now to make a short stop at world level by beating Steiglitz and I agree that Bute could fancy a unification, as it would potentially set up a fight for an undisputed champion.

Smith would get destroyed by Bute, but the lad could get a pay day there and the fates seem to have given him an opportunity.

I'd keep Smith away from Magee though.

what is the general opinion on someone like dliks fighting paul next, or maybe a quigley re-match/ I mean i don't think there will be a re-match, but how do people think it would go second time around?
