Danish media say that there are rumors that Ward may exit the Super Six now that he has the WBA belt.

More precisely it say that Allan Greens promotor hears rumors that the reason Ward is prosponing the match, isnt because of an injury, but rather because he has another fighter who's fighting that night. Also he says that he's hearing rumors that Goosen will take Ward out of the tournament, so that he can hold the belt longer.

    excuse the bad english.

    You know what?

The way Dirrell was lobbying for a Froch rematch, had me thinking he wanted to take that one belt and quit ahead.

If Ward does this they should rip that belt from his waist and throw him a bag of nuts and a stapler.

    Disgraceful if true.

Still, I expect better from Ward. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that this is just an unfounded rumor that winds up being untrue.

If it goes down like that, he should be stripped, imo.

It's BS like this that holds back the sport of boxing. Disgusting (if true, of course).

Wouldn't surprise me, if you look at the way he fights and the way Goosen does business

I doubt it, if I am not mistaken there is a provision written into the Super Six contracts preventing that from happening. Should a belt holder drop out of the Super Six they will give up the belt, and a match between the next designated fighter and the replacement would occur.

Now with that said, A belt could exit the tourney early, lets say that Allan Green beats Andre Ward in his next fight and the fight after that he draws while Ward wins. And lets say that gives him 3 points and there are 4 other fighters with 4 or more points in the tourney, he can leave the tourney with the WBA strap without making it to the single elimination rounds.

i cant imagine he would be able to leave, without it costing him a fortune. Showtime would want some sort of compensation.

furthermore, i wouldnt take that tabloid paper, as gospel.
