I'm saying it if it hasn't been said already. Clottey was paid to lose this fight.

lol, if he wins that fight, rematch 100% and this time it would be closer to 50/50, getting him like $6-8million... but yeah, he threw it, for $1.5.

I thought Foreman is going to fight Cotto. So Cotto gave way to Clottey now? :think

If he did throw it, it wouldn't have been for $1.5 mil. $1.5 is just the disclosed amount that Arum is paying him. He is also going to get a percentage of the PPV, another title shot, and if it were true that he threw it (not saying he did, just if he did), he would also be getting an undisclosed amount that we are not aware of. Add it all up, he could be getting closer to the 5 mil mark, and Arum would continue on with his cash cow (Pac).

If that was Arum's plan, Clottey would be an easy target. He has his daughter in Africa, he's lives poor here and in Ghana, so would be a candidate to accept the proposal. It looked like he was there to throw enough to make it look like somewhat of a fight, but not to hurt Pac too badly, which is why he kept backing off. This fight looks like it was designed to make it look less like Pac is on Roids because he didn't get the KO and got his face a little battered.

To throw the counter argument though, Clottey did what he did in every other fight. Before the fight in this forum people were saying, "I hope he throws more punches than usual", "I hope he goes all out for the win", "He's too inactive". So he didn't go above and beyond, but it's nothing new for him. Really hard to say for sure it was fixed, but going along with it makes for fun conversation.

The threadstarter, Knuckles, is absolutely right...

Here's what I posted on January 8th at my home forum, FightHype....this was right after the fight was announced....

Saw it comin' from a mile away...and now that it's played out for all to see, I have to say it's a shame there's not many other Boxing fans saying "This fight was a Set Up."...

If Clottey normally fought ferociously and threw tonnes of punches and then suddenly did that versus Pac, you would have an argument, but he doesn't. He fought how he always fights.

  7. the difference between you and I is that I tried to see it the other way. As I have no love injected into my views about ****. You on the other hand refuse to see it. You let your love, excitement and wet coochie cloud your objective thinking. Clottey did fight similar to the way he always fight, and arum and company knew that which is why he was chosen. But look at the counter punching damage he was doing EASILY. whenever I bring this up, you mu****as act like it wasn't happening and change that subject quick as ****.

The fight was a despicable in-house sham which would have been more suited to a WWE card. The whole thing was a scripted disgrace and anyone who says otherwise is beyond delusional.

Clottey did not try plain and simple. No is saying he would have won but he didn't even try to win. They should ban his ass from boxing.

  12. To tell you the truth. that mu****a probably wouldn't even be fighting pac if it wasn't pre-scripted. and he would not get a megafight with either shane or floyd. I guarantee as bob wouldn't let it happen. You think that mu****a gonna split that money with GBP?
