Yes but your talking about a very good counter puncher in Winky too , @154 Pac aint walking Winky down , and if he did he'd be in jab city all night long , i dont think Winky would of had a problem with Pac's intensity and hand speed at all , actually i beleive Winky would be beating him to the punch behind his jab a lot of the time , in summary at that weight and that time i beleive Winky to just be too well rounded for Manny .

Check out the poll . :deal

He wouldn't eat any less trying to move up to 154. I say that he just forgets the election, fight two more times, then retire. He's already a hero in the Philipines so not much to prove. Politicians wish they had the support Pacquiao gets.

If size didn't matter you'd pick Pacquiao over Dawson, or Hopkins, or Adamek, or any number of other guys. Size isn't the only thing that matters, but it certainly matters, and the further a fighter moves above his natural weight the more it matters. Pac should be at 140, but he's good enough to compete at 147. That doesn't mean he's also good enough to compete at 154, and 160, and 168 and so on...

Sorry but watching that vid, I dont think Pac will stay there for the jab. He will get out of the way and Winky isnt like Cotto where he will chase you to get to you. Winky covers up, allows his opponent to unload, and then he comes back with his jab, foolishly guys like Tito & Mosley were there to be hit, Pac wouldnt be.

You should have seen the Pac-Hatton polls back when Pac was a FW still and Pac-DLH polls :deal

I never said size didnt matter. Winky isnt a BIG puncher so his size really isnt a big advantage here. It will be a boxing match and given Pac's footspeed, handspeed, workrate and stylistic matchup, id favour Pac.

Mate if you wanna watch vids look at the job Winky done on Shane first time round , Winky at that time was on the slide past his peak fighting too heavy because he couldnt make 154 , read the title , Winky 2003 , 154 !!!!

Like I keep saying, Shane, like Tito, stood in front of Winky to be hit by the jab. Mosley is a typical pressure fighter who has good skills and good power, he tried to play the walk you down game. Pac would flurry, get out, and since Winky isnt a pressure fighter, he sint gonna be chasing Pac when hes out.

Sorry dude, I just dont see it. Winky is a great JMW but Pac has a huge stylistic advantage over him.

    No man .......................

That is not what im getting at , size does not equal punching power , size equals , ring general ship , strength on the inside , the ability not to be stalked and over powered , etc etc etc ........... , Winky could'nt knock a wet fart out but could stand and bang with biggest hitters out there .

    no I wasn't.

Secondly to the people bringing up Sam Soliman, Sam Soliman was fighting at 168 and came down just for that fight and Winky still beat him, I don't think Soliman won more than 2 rounds.

No mate on that one your right Manny aint Shane , but everytime Shane went backwards or side ways bang Winky hit him , because thats what Winky does and Manny would be out of his depth against that version of Winky at that weight , Winky had a great offence as well as defence and often tagged fighters moving away from him , hence the dominant wins on the score cards , he beat fighters in every department , Mannny is a great fighter but i have Winky here big man .
