Best Lampley moment? "Bang, Bang" or "Written by Allah"

I was a little pissed when I heard Lampley make those comments. Regardless of the nation, religion, or culture in question, such remarks aren't needed, especially during an event which is being watched by millions around the world. Very unprofessional

Well guy, I think where we disagree is the "making fun part". I have no problem with having a laugh at myself, as I don't take myself too seriously.
I would never make fun of my religion. Why would I be a part of something and make fun of it? I would be a hypocrite then. If you don't believe in religion, that is fine with me. I don't control your beliefs, I only ask that you respect mine. I didn't call you primitive, only your weak attempt at insulting me. If you have noticed, I haven't really said anything insulting or too personal to you. I didn't say that Lampley's comment was directed towards me or the Muslim community, I only said it was unnecessary and out of line. And it was. We don't have to agree on all points here, actually, we don't have to agree at all. Whatever you believe is fine, but I assure ou that I won't put one of these by yours. :good

Anyway, I see no need for this to go any further. You know I am a Muslim and I believe the comment was of poor taste. If you can't see that then I am not going to behead you if that's what you expect of us Muslims. We are a peaceful, humble people, at least that's how we are supposed to be. If you have met some badly behaved Muslims, well that is just too bad. I assure you there are many very nice Muslims out there. People who would help you, a non-Muslim stranger, if you needed help. Have a good one. I will keep looking out for your response if you leave one, as I believe in hearing someone out instead of saying "this is it, no more!!!". If not, I hope my conversation with you at least left a dent.

 

When you do things like come into a topic about boxing on a forum where the language is English and make posts in Arabic to another Muslim user, then you are bringing attention to your religion.

Either don't bring your religion up yourself, or don't whine when other people mention Islam.

Either way, Lampley's comment was out of order. I don't think it was malicious - it was anti-naz rather than anti-Muslim - but it's an outrageous thing to say. He would definitely have been taken off air and sacked the next day if that happened in England.

What did I say in Arabic? Maybe you saw me type Assalamu Alaikum, which means peace be upon you. That is how we greet one another. Are you offended by that. It's not as if anyone is speaking about other users in another language. And people call us sensitive.
