Same here, I think he deserves to be in the top 50.

Didn't give it a truly in depth look, but my initial impression is that it's a pretty good list. I might like to have Chavez a bit higher, and think you maybe gave Jones a bit too much credit, (even if his middleweight champion to heavyweight champion thing is remarkable) but nothing else is jumping out at me at the moment. Thanks for sharing.

Very good list overall. I would have some things different. Fitzsimmons imo ranks Top10, Pac, Jones, Hagler, Holyfield, Marciano outside of the Top30 instead Napoles, McLarnin, Jofre, Williams in it. Floyd Patterson deserves to be ranked in the Top50. I don“t think Morales deserves so.
But overall, very good list :good

Gomez does lose some stature moving up in weight. If he retires after Pintor then he is top 25 in my book. Maybe top 20. He was comparable with what Joe Louis did.

Morales was #39 on my last list and Barrera was in my top 50. I moved both down a bit though. The competation wasn't as great at 126 when they moved up as it was with Wilfredo besides Marquez and they both really didn't want to fight him.

I thought Erik won the first 2 fights with MAB. Barrera has been dominated and stopped a couple times in his prime too. Morales wasn't really beat til the Raheem and 3rd MAB fight in my book.

Morales is one of my favorite fighters ever and I don't think he is greater than Gomez.

I didn't see this post earlier.

Cocoa Kid? Above Marshall, Bivins, Booker? I can't see it, in fact I'd hesitate to put him among the top 5 Murderer's Row members.

I can certainly see why someone would place Morales close to Gomez though.

I was gonna put Marshall on the list instead of Kid but couldn't do it. He fought Burley to a draw and beat Williams a few times. It would have been nice to see Kid come along 5 years later.

I ****ing forgot Kid Gavilan though. :patsch

I was at the Barrera/Morales I fight and no way Morales deserved that fight, most of the crowd didnt think so either even the Morales fans looked like there man had lost quiet the decision was announced.
I do think Morales edged the 2nd, and Barrera definiitely won the 3rd so in their HTH matchup Barrera gets it.
You said Morales didnt reallylose till Raheem? I thought Espadas could have got their 1st fight.
Barrera was only dominated against Pac in their 1st fight.
