unfortunatly, speed alone doesn't make you a great fighter. i'm hoping khan can achieve a lot of things in boxing, but his chin is so suspect that you just feel eventually he's going to get caught again by someone.
Indeed, and 'runs faster' shouldn't be a compliment for a boxer imo... It's a skill to avoid the fight, fortunately with some boxers the ring ropes and posts prevent them from running to far.

No, but it's more often than not the case. I'm not talking about over 5 miles by the way, I mean over short distances. I haven' watched the video (at work) so if Roach said he's faster over 5 miles then my comments arne't relevant.
Khan probably runs faster because he's taller than MP, has longer legs and calves, and he's pretty athletic. And I can believe he may punch combos faster than MP from time to time, because a lot of his combos are straight punches, from both hands. Quicker to arrive to the target than a flurry of MP hooks, straights and uppercuts. I think Khan has got a good chance of beating Paulie. He seems to have tucked in and tightened his defense, abit more now, and Paulie isnt that hard a puncher, and with his two handed pistons pumping straight combo punches, I think it might all work out for him.

That may be true, but Khan throws pitter-patter 1-2s for the most part. And he makes these weird motions when he has his guard up and isn't throwing...it looks like he's terrified.
