I'll admit I voted for Pacman. Wins against great fighters is my reason. Roberto lacked the wins against greats. Had Roberto beaten Hearns and Benitez then I would have rated him where most people rate him on the ATG list.

Pac is clearly a great but to say he's better than Duran is a severe misjudgment of their abilities and careers.

Do you think Duran would have beaten Morales / Barrera / Marquez at 126 / 130? No, because he would have died making that weight. Head to head just isn't a valid comparison here.

Anyway, I got Duran by a small margin, but it's not as wide as some would lead you to believe. If Pacquaio beats Mayweather, he probably passes Duran. That would give Manny his Leonard-level win.

Manny is a bona fide certified atg.
Maybe the best fighter p4p in the last 15 years.
Up there with arguello, holyfield, jones, spinks et al.
    His weight jumping is phenomenal.
A truer measure of his greatness will be if he can beat mayweather.
Then he might go ahead of the aformetioned luminaries.

    Duran is better.

It's not that far off. Look at their best wins, and I think it's pretty clear that their resumes are close, especially if Pac can get that one marquee win.

    Leonard vs Barrera 1
Barkley (25 lbs over best weight) vs Cotto (17 pounds over best weight)
Palomino (well past best) vs Hatton (past best, but had ruled division for a half decade)
Cuevas (mostly shot) vs De La Hoya (mostly shot)
    Buchanan vs Morales II
De Jesus 1 vs Marquez II
    De Jesus 2 vs Larios
    Mamby vs Clottey
    Moore vs Ledabwa
Others for Duran: Castro, Minchillo, Lampkin
Others for Pac: Barrera II, Morales III, Sakasul, Hussein, Diaz, Solis, Lucero

I could go further, but I don't see much distinction between their records after that point, if I ignore Duran's late career where he was old and fat. The only one that's clearly better on the Duran side is his best win, over Leonard. Both had a few meh losses / draws earlier career, both beat a number of other titlists who were good but aren't names people will remember other than that they were beaten by Duran and Pacquiao. But at the end of the day, most of Duran's best wins were also against faded fighters

Even if pac beats mayweather, which would be a very good achievement,he still wouldnt be better than duran.
There have been too many great fighters for pac to become number one of all times folks.

    Rubbish.

Duran's landmark victory over 6'1 Iran Barkley when he was 37 years old up at Middleweight is better than anything on Pacquiao's resume.

I mentioned pac not being able to become number one of all time, because i can see there are some who either think that pac is,or along the way to becoming number one.
Wont happen in this lifetime folks.
