Not from me. It is a great win, always has been. It just isn't as good as Duran's win over him, that's all. Pac's win over Morales isn't as good as Morales's win over Pac either. The victor in each fight deserves credit, but if you are rating the wins, the original ones were better in both cases.
Delusional much? This is Pacquiao's prime now...Pacquiao would murder Morales prime for prime. I doubt any version of Morales would be able to stand up to Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey. It's Manny's unique combination of power, speed, and endless stamina and heart that allowed him to successfully move up in weight. A basically green, one-dimensional Pacquiao nearly KO'd Morales in the first fight...having him on ***** street multiple times. Imagine what Pacquaio would have done to him if he had the same skill set as he does now, regardless of weight. But I suppose it's a must for you to cling on to Mexican heroes regardless of reality. I doubt you've even watched Pacquiao lately, because he's very effective fighting backwards...which is what he prefers to do against bigger opponents. He fought backwards against DLH, the first half of the Cotto fight before Cotto went into survival mode, and was stalked all night by Clottey.
PAc wasn't green. He was fighting men who could hit with both hands, and he's been stopping guys like David Diaz, or old and young one armed fighters...
Its just interesting to me how a guy has his prime after his decline. And before any '*******' replies with senseless meat leeching drivel, its just facts... not hate.
You believe such nonsense, and yet praise Valero who has fought absolutely nobody. Why aren't you a Pac fan? After all, he's beaten more elite black fighters than Valero . You say Valero would beat Timothy Bradley at 140, but also believe Timothy Bradley would beat Pacquiao at 147.
Clearly there's a great deal of confusion here over just what constitutes a fighter's lifecycle. Erik's victory over Pac was the last hurrah of a worn out fighter, when you've been through so many wars you mind becomes traumatised and your body unable to but in the great performances, much less when undernourished. Both need time to heal, to given his great tenacity, you wouldn't know Erik was slowing down, but he was. He didn't have the same zip during the Pac fight as he did during his first two fights with Barrera. And with THAT much punishment across a decade, you performance WILL fall off a cliff, very suddently indeed. At that point in the lifecycle, a boxer can go from ATG to journeyman in 15 months flat. It was Morales' stamina that failed him in the 2nd fight, not any added excellence in Pac's game. Morales has been in with MUCH better technicians, like Poison Jones, and still triumphed. In fact, what happened to Morales is just starting to happen to Pac. The kids stamina is starting to wane, and PBF is licking his lips, biding his time. Clottely going into survival mode and making Pac sweat just to eke out a 120-108 is JUST what PBF wanted, yet another 12 exhausting rounds.
Pobably "green" as in "one dimensional" and "One handed fighter" and "Zero defense" and all that stuff that was the accepted truth among boxing posters back in the early to late 2000s, when talking about Pac. Meaning he's not yet as fully developed in overall skills as he is today. Not that he suddenly turned into a technical boxing wizard overnight, but the 2010 version is a technical improvement from the 2005 version.
