So its not a problem with the boxing commisions, its only a problem with Pacquiao.:deal

 

Pac has stated clearly (or as clearly as his English will allow) that he will take ANY TEST any Boxing Governing Body requests.

It has to be the proper authority making the request.

And on your note regarding the "proper authority", I thought Manny agreed to do 3 blood tests before (24 days out), and 1 after the fight? The current "proper authority" don't do that, so obviously Pac is willing to go outside what is currently required by the "proper authority", who as Divac mentioned, have absolutely no problems whatsoever with the testing requested by Floyd.

 

The point there is that ANY concessions Pac has offered in regard to ANY kind of blood testing is just gravey.

Whether or not he agrees to such tests should not be a deal-breaker.

Unless Floyd is looking for an excuse.

And your final point (a blood test IMMEDIATELLY after the fight) takes just about all the wind out of Floyd's objections.

A blood test post-fight will show up anything the guy's been recently using.

 

The Pac camp did not say that off the bat.....in fact Roach is on video agreeing to the 5 day window......so apparently when Roach was advised about the testing it was OK with him.....

Then Roach gets word that its not ok with the PED abuser......thus, Mayweather-Pacquiao does'nt get made.

Funny that i haven't seen any of the Floyd fans crying from the rooftops that Toney, Jones Jnr and Mosley are still allowed to compete in the sport in spite of being caught out by the current drug-testing regime (although in Mosley's case it was his admission rather than a test, to be fair). If they are so passionate about the issue of drugs in the sport then why aren't they outraged at the lenient - i.e. non-existent - punishments handed out to these three? Maybe they don't really care about drug-testing after all, but more about the nationality of the pound for pound best fighter in the world?

If you read the article it apparently sits deep by the athor that almost all American athletes who did something special were exposed as drug users. He even forgets a few big ones in the big list, but there are a few of them who were ligid, or not caught yet...

Until they are, they should be concidered dope free... Even a guy like Lance Armstrong who looks very suspicious with doing everything in his power not to get samples from '99 to be retested, but it is never proven.
With Pac it is even more hearsay and the random bloodtest issue...
If I was an rich athlete, and used some designer drug, and they demanded random tests beginning in let's say 2 weeks until after the huge paying event I would simply stop using until after the event... SIMPLE AS THAT!
The most work is already done by the drugs already and maybe I win or I lose... the main goal is already reached... I'm f*&king rich!
In most sports you don't get paid in advance... you have to deliver first... in boxing you just have to show up (see Johnson or Clottey for example) so there's more chance they use on the event itself. In the case you know you're troughly effeciently tested you are stupid if you use then.

So there are other issues at stake here, in this particular case...
