OK, Oscar De La Hoya, Amir Khan, Paulie Malignaggi, Carl Frampton and Ron Boddy with the ABA round-up.
Waiting to hear from Ahmet Ohner and David Price.
It's BBC London 94.9, online and then available on BBC iPlayer.

    Adios and thanks.

Bloody Hell Bunce thats a cracking line up!!!

If you do manage to get Price on do you think you could get him to outline what his plan is for the next couple of year i.e. rate of progression etc.

By the way really enjoyed the Don King interview the other week. Get him on again as soon as possible.

    Only in America.

    Cheers Big Boy.

Oscar De La Hoya, hey? I was one of the biggest Oscar fans back in the day. even when you go back to his Olympic days, there was such a natural lean and chin tuck to his boxing stance that was throw back in a lot of ways. but even I couldn't vouch for him anymore in his later part time career. I'm also fed up with the whole Golden Boy Promotion theatrics, stealing fighters, screenplays etc. Sad thing is they said they were cleaning up the sport when they started.

As a fighter though Oscar was so gifted. He threw the best combinations and his chin tuck was brillient. Most mexican fighters were sluggers and here comes Oscar with his text book fight game lol really think his technical skills were slightly overlooked, everything was right in his orthodox fighting stance, Hook of the jab, left hook etc.

However he always had trouble with speed. If you remember Oba Car wasn't a cake walk for him, plus even though he took alotta big fights he still avoided people like Vernon and Winky.

This vid makes the case that De La Hoya wasn't that great technically (ot at least that he could've tightened things up, he was certainly athletically gifted). I always thought he was good, but despite the weight jumping and good opponents he fought, I wouldn't put him anywhere near a top 50.

I agree with you S&C, he just became annoying as he went on.

I've got the Burley book - very good.
David Price does a great turn on tonight's show and Kevin Mitchell starts it off in grand, grand style.

    Adios and enjoy.
