His resume is not that deep compared to that of hearns or mclarnin who are not even top 30

Color me ignorant, but who did he actually beat to belong in the top 30? What's his best win, Salvidar who was coming out of a two year retirement? A lot of his opponents had pretty records on their face, but they look like pretty padded records to me, and many of them lost to far inferior fighters shortly after facing Jofre.

Obviously I'm just going off boxrec here - I'm not well versed enough in smaller weight classes in that era to know if there's anyone he should have fought, or if he just displayed such a level of dominance that people are willing to let it slide that his record isn't very deep. Anyone willing to educate me a bit?

Eder Jofre only lost to one fighter during his long career and that was two very close decision losses to Harada. Jofre was getting weight drained at 118 by that time. And those losses could be considered questionable. He went unbeaten in his comeback at featherweight in 1969. He has to rate very highly with the ATG fighters. I would pick him no. 1 at bantamweight.

Seriously though, if Jofre was the size of Pacquiao he would stop Clottey. This is how I know Jofre is better p4p and should be ranked higher.
