It's hypocritical but I honestly don't think Floyd really wants to fight Manny....I mean, the money is right but the risk of facing Manny seems to outweigh his love of Money. So him not going with a 50/50 split will be the "other" excuse to why he can't fight Manny.

I think they both want the fight PAC,EGO,TAXES is the reason floyd came back, I dont get any of the money so i dont care for the split i just get tired of people aurguing over pac v floyd when the fight was KILLED BY ARUM weather it was to ride pac post delahoya mney train untill his next one comes or because he does not want to give his 2 run away slaves(oscar and floyd) (not meant to be offensive) an inch. HE Really hates them and they REALLY HATE him, Cotto was about to free himself over the margs defense by rum but he was able to pull the **** he tried on floyd, the fight with pac if he renewed his contract, he tried it with floyd over the marg fight yes he might have offered him 8mil but he would have had to re-sign

If it was the majority of your money going into starting up the business would you want your business partner to get a 50/50 split from the profits? **** no.

There's definitely clear logic behind it. Fans try to rationalize it out that 50/50 is proper because there's less hassle meaning the fight would come sooner. Guess what they're doing it for the $50 you hand them 3-4 times annually.

Mayweather's outsold Pacquiao with every opponent that they've both fought, so I believe he had the right to ask for more than half to begin with. If you do better numbers you deserve more. When Mayweather outsells Pacquiao again, it will only strengthen his argument if he chooses to use it.

LMFAO...AND THE RISK REWARD FOR FIGHTING SHANE DOESN'T "OUTWEIGH" THAT..

UR A JOKE HOMIE..FLOYD MAKES 20 MILLION FIGHTING SHANE AND A FIGHTER THAT FLOYD HIMSELF PROBABLY FEELS IS MORE DANGEROUS...(ILL TAKE ONE OUT OF UR BOOK AND SAY, "HIS ACTIONS SHOW ME THIS":rofl
He could make twice the amount of money against Manny if not more and he would be involved in the biggest ppv in history IF NOT ONE OF THE BIGGEST FIGHTS OF ALL TIME...THE ENDORSEMENTS WOULD ALSO COME ALOT MORE FOR BOTH FIGHTERS IF PAC-MAYWEATHER HAPPENED MORE SO THAN MAYWEATHER MOSLEY..

AGAIN....ONCE HE SIGNED TO FIGHT SHANE, YOUR WHOLE ARGUMENT TURNED TO PRETTY MUCH A FALSE THEORY THAT GOT PROVEN WRONG...U SAY THAT FLOYD WOULD RATHER FIGHT SHANE FOR LESS MONEY THAN FIGHT MANNY FOR MORE WHEN SHANE IS AT LEAST AS DANGEROUS IF NOT MORE DANGEROUS FOR FLOYD...

OWNED AGAIN MAN JUST STOP..IF HE DIDNT WANNA FIGHT MANNY AND HE WOULD HAVE COME UP WITH ANOTHER EXCUSE, TELL ME WHAT THE EXCUSE WOULD BE?? HMMM:think

Poster I RESPONDED TO HAS ONE OF THE WEAKEST ARGUMENTS ON HERE...HE CLAIMS TO KNOW FLOYD SO WELL IN PERSON THAT HE CAN READ "HIS ACTIONS"

mayweather was lucky to get 50% the first time, he has to beat mosley for him to get another crack at 50%, in my eyes you have to be a damn belt holder to request 50% of the split.

In my eyes you have to beat the current champ without a catchweight to be the true champ.:patsch

Simple. 45% each with the winner getting the rest. Floyd talks he's done this, and he's done that, but no one really cares. They just want him to get in the ring with Mosley or Pac to see if he can pull off what he did with Marquez, Hatton, and Oscar. That's all their is to it.

For me.....I think Shane is just as big of a threat to Floyd. But I think Floyd feels Manny is a bigger risk to his undefeated record. I'm just speculating and basing my "OPINION" on what I've seen and heard from Floyd.

I thought Floyd was making $40Mill fighting Mosley?:think If Floyd feels shane is more dangerous I don't think he would have been calling him out during Shane's prime years....but I could be wrong.

I agree with you that Floyd/Manny would be FAR MORE FRUITFUL in all areas that can be considered but I still see Floyd acting in a way that was completely foriegn to what we have all come to know from Floyd. Floyd never has any reservations about making money or fighting anyone he chooses as an opponent or a potential opponent. He never has shown any hesitation for making a fight or went as far as contradicting his own statments on how he feels about a fighter other than Manny...he's also never had to make demands for Blood testing for anyone else to show signs that he is concerned. To me that says a lot without even having to hear the words.

Floyd really had no other options but to fight Shane b/c Shane is his biggest payday next to Manny. The Risks are extremely high for Floyd whether he realizes that or not, but he ultimately feels Shane isn't much of a threat.

In my opinion Shane is MORE DANGEROUS than PAC from a power stand point. Floyd could get slept by Shane with one shot....easily. It's just not easy to hit Floyd. But I don't think PAC has that kind of power to KO Floyd.....I just think his style is more disconcerning for Floyd b/c of his volume, speed and punch out put. Floyd could loose a decision to PAC by purely being outworked. ANd I feel that is a more likely outcome than Shane finding his mark and sparking Floyd out.

Well...the excuse now will move from a blood testing one to a purse split one. Floyd won't need the blood testing demands to kill the next negotiation process with Manny should he get past Shane b/c he'll move on to talking about getting the lions share based on his PPV numbers with Shane vs Manny's PPV numbers with Josh.

You're funny bro. You get all worked up for no reason. Be easy.:smoke

It should be 50/50 unless they give a higher % to the winner!

Top notch post, my friend. De La Hoya has been a kingmaker in PPV terms for years; neither Mayweather or Pacquiao did anything like big numbers prior to fighting Oscar, since then they have both attracted big audiences. It should be 50/50, but I don't think Floyd's ego will let him agree to this and sadly Floyd (and his fans) have never really believed that you need to beat the best in order to be the best, you just have to talk about how easily you'd beat them and hope people believe you.
