The purpose of random drug testing isn't actually the test, but the fear that they can be tested any time thus forcing boxers to avoid cheating.

Even if neither fighter was ever tested before the fight or tested only once throughtout the process. The fear of being tested at any given time is the goal.

I also don't believe that Mayweather chooses when they get tested or how many times, plus Mayweather is subject to the same exact amount of testing.
