This didn't require a thread, but it is probably the quickest way to get my question answered. Does The Fearless Harry Greb only come in paperback? I really thought a while back that I saw it on Amazon in hardcover. I can't locate this hardcover anywhere. My guess is that it doesn't exist. Anyone?
I've got the book mines a bendy back - my amazing girlfriend bought it me as a present and it's a brilliant book - she bought from a store in Newcastle england rather than online and it was £35 - apparently it was one of about 16 that the store was supplied with nationally aswell!! But they did say that other than that they are printed to order also - my girlfriend is an angel - and it's difficult to explain to her how nice/good/precious a present that was for me
Klompton ,on here was supposed to be bringing out his own book on Greb, but it has not surfaced and though I have asked a couple of times in posts about it my queries have fallen on deaf ears.:huh
I paid $36 delivered and it was a soft cover. The older Greb book was $300 used but can be purchased online version for $7 bucks
Im still plugging away. Its not that your inquiries have fallen on deaf ears its just that every time I say Im getting close the end seems to get further away so I dont want to jinx myself
Keep up the hard work, klompton. We need all of the good Greb books that we can get. I haven't read Give Him to the Angels, but from what I have read about it, we don't need another one of those. I still may read it one day just because it is another Greb book. I hope I am able to separate fact from bullsh*t. I ordered the "softcover" Fearless Harry Greb book today. I feel like a little boy waiting for that toy that he has wanted for a long time. Hey klompton, I don't know if I am the only one to notice, but that picture you have on the site, it is actually backwards. Greb's part is on the opposite side. I have that same picture and I noticed that it just didn;t look right. Anyone know anything or anywhere a fellow might be able to find a Greb autograph? Now, I am not stupid. I do realize that you can't just go to some website and find one, because I tried that today. But there has to be someone, somewhere. Some collector who we can rob. Maybe five of us can rob one single autographed picture and split it up about five ways. Like each of us getting a few letters. Anyway, it's just an idea.
I had 'give him to the angels' it wasn't very good at all, not a biography in the usual sense jo sports may have a signed Greb item but you probably won't get much change from 5 grand
Me either:-( I just this one off Amazon though, was hoping it would come down in price, but have bitten the bullet and bought it
Fair enough , I am sure that your informed, and non - compromising comments on here ,will have whetted the appetite of posters on this forum.:good
