Is Floyd being Hypocritical or Correct???

And I don't disagree with his prediction at all. May/mosley doin better numbers then the PAC/clottey fight is inevitable.

But what I don't get is this, the PAC/cotto fight did better numbers then the may/Marquez fight yet pacquiao eventually agreed to 50/50. Floyds arguement then was that he didn't have a partner, well if that's the case can't the same be said for PAC with clottey?

Do you guys think may will eventually accept a 50/50 again? Do you think it's all just a ploy to kill everything or do you think he's justified in asking for the larger piece of the pie this time around?

First off i just want to know where did you read this at??? Second i feel that the purse split is the least of our worries regarding this fight. Let's hope that pacquiao agrees to random testing like Mosley did and i think the other **** will work itself out. Mayweather at this point just wants Manny to take the test so he can" whip his punk ass"!!!!!

However, Mayweather doing better numbers when he fought Hoya, Hatton, and Marquez than Pac did against those same guys is solid justification. What would put it over the top is if Mayweather/Mosley did significantly better numbers than Pacquiao/Cotto. Cotto is definately a bigger draw than Mosley. So if Mayweather/Mosley does say 1.7 million or better, Floyd would definately deserve the bigger split. In the end though, they should just agree on 50/50. It's the biggest fight in boxing. No need to ruin it over a few percentage points.

De La Hoya has been a kingmaker in PPV terms for years; neither Mayweather or Pacquiao did anything like big numbers prior to fighting Oscar, since then they have both attracted big audiences. It should be 50/50, but I don't think Floyd's ego will let him agree to this and sadly Floyd (and his fans) have never really believed that you need to beat the best in order to be the best, you just have to talk about how easily you'd beat them and hope people believe you.

y u acting like floyd and manny are the only ones to beat oscar? is mosley a huge attraction? no. Is bhop an attraction? no. Floyd did become a huge star after he beat oscar because everybody ****in hated the guy after the 24/7 series, and now tune in to see him lose. Pac is huge because he beat de la hoya and ppl said, this guy will be able to beat mayweather. Pac is the anti Mayweather, without mayweather pac is just ordinary. No way pac ever deserved 50/50, Mayweather out sells him with every common opponent. I really dont care tho I just want to see this damn fight !!!

I agree with you that Floyd/Manny would be FAR MORE FRUITFUL in all areas that can be considered but I still see Floyd acting in a way that was completely foriegn to what we have all come to know from Floyd. Floyd never has any reservations about making money or fighting anyone he chooses as an opponent or a potential opponent. He never has shown any hesitation for making a fight or went as far as contradicting his own statments on how he feels about a fighter other than Manny...he's also never had to make demands for Blood testing for anyone else to show signs that he is concerned. To me that says a lot without even having to hear the words.

Floyd really had no other options but to fight Shane b/c Shane is his biggest payday next to Manny. The Risks are extremely high for Floyd whether he realizes that or not, but he ultimately feels Shane isn't much of a threat.

In my opinion Shane is MORE DANGEROUS than PAC from a power stand point. Floyd could get slept by Shane with one shot....easily. It's just not easy to hit Floyd. But I don't think PAC has that kind of power to KO Floyd.....I just think his style is more disconcerning for Floyd b/c of his volume, speed and punch out put. Floyd could loose a decision to PAC by purely being outworked. ANd I feel that is a more likely outcome than Shane finding his mark and sparking Floyd out.

Well...the excuse now will move from a blood testing one to a purse split one. Floyd won't need the blood testing demands to kill the next negotiation process with Manny should he get past Shane b/c he'll move on to talking about getting the lions share based on his PPV numbers with Shane vs Manny's PPV numbers with Josh.

Fact is you beat a golden name and you start getting more attraction and PPV numbers, simple as that. Mayweather didn't do insane numbers before beating DLH nor did Pacquiao. Both beat him and now look how they're on top in PPV sales and general attraction.

I thought he was generous to agree to 50/50 last time, without doubt Mayweather is a bigger draw as far as sales go which means he will be bringing more money into the fight than Pacquiao, with that in mind I don't think it's unreasonable for him to take more money out.

Man, I love how *******s first said Pacquiao was generous for agreeing to 50/50, now that it appears Mayweather is about to take a giant dump on Pacquaio-Clottey PPV sales, the entire conversation turns to "oh, it shouldn't matter. Mayweather should agree to 50-50 for the sake of the fight". Mayweather fight in and fight out earns more revenue than Pacquiao, so shouldn't have Pacquiao been the one to agree to the Mayweather demands since Mayweather was the one being generous with the 50-50 split.

At least Oscar got him to a PPV success , well mayweather promotion never really existed you see, he couldnt sell out grand rapids for **** sake his home town and cwelebs left before the final bell till de la hoya promted him
