Haye was a coward in the Valouev fight, all he did was run, he lost, but Vlad won the WBA title from Chagaev in the ring. WBA took title away from Chagave and gave it to Valouev, then Haye knew all he had to do was run, so he ran, did not fight at all. Johnson threw more punches than Haye did.

Tell Haye get fight Vitali ASAP!

I remember people said he looked fat before Valuev and weighed in at 217.

He could stand like a statue in the ring and he would still be quicker with more moves than the Quiet Man.

Ruiz aint the quickest. Even if Haye caries that weight into fight night he should have more than enough speed to confuse Ruiz and the extra pounds should help when it comes to taking a punch and being wrestled by the quiet man. The only thing that worries me in the slightest about the extra weight is whether he has the stamina carrying it.

How big does someone need to be to be considered a natural heavy?! He's 6"3, weighed in at around 217 for the Valuev fight with somewhere in the region, I'd guess, of 7% body fat. You take away the fat from the majority of the other heavies out there and Haye would be of equal size. This argument only comes up because he used to fight at Cruiser. If he'd always campaigned at heavy no one would dream of saying he wasn't a natural heavy weight.

All this talk of, you've climbed the mountain can you motivate yourself, really pisses me off. But he gives boxing some spotlight so that eases the pain.

It does have to be (WBA heavyweight) regarded as one of the least valuable straps over the last good few years.

It's clear to me that his max peak weight is no more than 220 but it wouldn't surprise me if he came in at over 225 for this fight as Ruiz looks like a man in quick sand when he fights. Having said all of that it may just be that it's the pre-boil down phase for haye and he will strip the weight back. I remember him being on setanta about 3 months before fighting Barrett and he weighed 16 st 8 at that time so maybe he is a bigger guy at his untrained weight than most people think.

the only concern I have with Haye is his stamina, he hasn't been the distance many times.

Haye isn't looking slow when he is shadow boxing! what are you lot on about! focus is on technique and footwork!! Not speed!

Anyways, Haye is looking quick and powerful! even for his extra size. I think even if he comes in a bit heavier than Valuev he will still be pretty quick. Ruiz does not want to eat any of those shots David was landing on that body bag, those had extreme brain trauma written all over them!!

The stamina issue is what worries me mostly i have to admit and though he went 12 with Valuev i thiink that was decieving and nobody seemes to pick up on in between rounds i thought David was breathing fairly heavily and looked quite tired. Dont get me wrong i am his biggest fan but i would not be surprised if Ruiz's gameplan is to tire Haye out and use his experience and make it tell.
