    I agree with most of what's being said. Vitali really is one of the very few boxers to whom there is no real blueprint to outboxing him, because he's freakishly tall (without suffering from genetic disorders like Valuev) and mobile (KBoxing champion) and in addition, he's a sound boxer.

    Unless, you yourself are a giant, you just have to hit him with everything and hope for something to occur.

    Of course, he hasn't faced an Ali. It would be hard to imagine Ali being outboxed. But that's Ali, there aren't many who could cope with Vitali. 6'8", 80" reach may not sound great but when you consider that from those 80", 29"x2 come from his arm length. He can stand in front of you and hit you with artilery leaving you with little answer. Try to get inside? He'll get outside. He can dodge punches, block punches, roll with punches.
    He has great ring generalship. And he has or better said, had (slowed down a bit) underrated handspeed.

    I actually think it's a close call.

    Fighter I think would beat him are:

    Lewis, Foreman, Tyson, Liston,

    Fighters who could beat him but might not are;

    Louis, Ali, Frazier, Bowe, Holyfield, Marciano, Dempsey, Johnson, Jeffries, Ibeabuchi

    So like I said, that's a close call. I have no idea how he'd deal pressure fighters like Frazier, or Marciano, so that would be key to whether or not he'd be in the top 10 H2H.

    I personally voted no, but if the question would have been top 15, I would have voted yes.

    Yeah, my bad. I said he's tough as nails and he may be but he's nowhere near Vit aside from that. ****in' beat down here. Not worth mentioning, my bad:oops:

    And Bowe - I think he was too stupid for Vitali. Somewhat like 74' Foreman for 74' Ali.

    Bowe wasn't stupid at all, at his very best he was able to boss sections against Holyfield who is one of boxing's more cerebral champions. I certainly think he should be installed as a favourite over Vitali given his technical superiority and validity at all ranges. It's been nailed earlier in the thread, Vitali causes problems for literally anyone, but that doesn't mean he would start as a favourite against all of them, not at all.

    Bowe was a big guy fighting small and as a slugger. He would have virtually NO chance vs. Vitali, who is a master at maintaining the distance he needs, and punching odd angles. Vitali != Wlad.
