Theres nothing you can say that justifies kermit having a chance to win this fight besides a hail mary punch....

    kermit is mentally weak
he fights at a slow pace
he throws one punch at a time
he doesn't fight good under pressure
    he can't fight going backwards
    he can't fight inside

he's a simple one two guy with above average power who is taller than the average fighter in that weight class.... he should be shark food

Martinez may have started a fracture in Paul's chin that Cintron can take advantage of. Paul gets hit way too much and it will catch up to him at some point.

Cintron as a one-punch lights-out hitter is a bit overrated. The Matthyse KO is where that idea really started gaining tread, and honestly Matthyse isn't terribly hard to knock out.

    man listen...

paul williams said it himself... he has got knocked down in sparring before so when he got knocked down in an actual fight it was routine....so there is no problem there

and yeah william gets hit a lot but you have to think about who

martinez & verno phillips are slick fighters with accurate punching
margarito throws upwards of 900 punches every fight

your not thinking about the total picture.... cintron isn't high volume, he isn't technical, he isn't a precision fighter....

he is a crude one two guy who preyed on smaller opponents and made a name off of knocking out smaller and less skilled (by a HUGE margin) opponents... since he moved up he hasn't beaten any body worth a damn except a TOTALLY inexperienced Alfredo Angulo... aside from that he just knocked out a bunch of smaller opponents... and lost to every quality opponent he faced

this might as well be slated as a tune up fight for paul ... only thing saving cintron from paul is a home run once in a life time punch... other wise he's shark food

Williams still has no big names under his belt besides a win (most thought it was a loss here) over Antonio Margarito.

Cintron is not great but will still beat Williams.

Both sentences are chock full of wrong.

Williams has Martinez, Wright and Quintana - each as big as Margarito. You can have it one way or the other - either make the argument that none of those four are big names, or say he has four big names under his belt. Don't elevate Margarito where he doesn't belong over those other three guys.

Of those four victories, the only one that most here thought was a loss was Martinez (who, incidentally, most here thought beat Cintron) - and even that's not true. Opinion was pretty split - I was among those who thought Martinez did enough to win but it was fairly evenly debated...unlike the Margarito decision. The "Margarito won" crowd is and always has been a vocal minority.

Cintron is not great - you have that part right, at least - but he'll need a miracle to beat Williams.

I think Paul grinds him down by the 6th round or so. Punisher TKO.

This is crazy. I started this thread almost 3 years ago, and the fight is finally going to come off. There better not be a last minute cancellation.
