i saw a couple of recent pictures of david, and by what i've seen, he does seem heavier. i don't think that's a good idea. i think speed is the key to make ruiz look stupid, not size. regardless of haye's size in the ring, he'll still be the naturally smaller guy, who's fought the smaller natural guys. speed is the key.

i saw him recentlygiving an interview, and whilst he does look marginally heavier (his arms looked insane, though it could have been exacerbated by him being sat down). bear in mind he's still got a good 2 weeks of training left, it doesn's seem an issue. also we must remember that john ruiz is hardly lightning fast himself.
personally i see haye sparking ruiz out within the first 4-6. this will end that fraud's career.

haye and booth are to professional to be slacking, he looked pretty bulky but ripped when i saw a few highlights of him training on sky sports

Lets see what he weighs in at. I'm sure Haye and Booth are on track.

He's not looking fat as some may suggest he's added some more muscle, and looks to have retained most of his speed. He'll still have that edge over Ruiz. All he needs is to a little cut and should come in, in shape on fight night.

Ruiz is getting the shot because the WBA is a disgraceful recycling machine in the hw division. They´ll give their former hw champs endless title shots and eliminators and tie their current champions up in mandatory defenses against them.

Since Ruiz last lost the WBA belt, he´s had one eliminator (which he lost) and one fight for the vacant title (which he lost) and now he gets a mandatory shot, even though Kali Meehan was already the #1 ranked fighter. Ridiculous BS.

May Haye send Ruiz into retirement. I echo Zakman´s sentiments on Ruiz as I always have.

Yeah, there is no arguing this. I hope Haye stops Ruiz to make any chance of another comeback remote.

I doubt Haye is unprepared. You can accuse him of many things, but lack of preparation and discipline have never been one of his weaknesses.

    He doesn’t have to prepare.
He will still knock Ruiz out in first or second round

He doesn't have to cut weight anymore he's a heavyweight..

whats the point in training for speed against ruiz? if haye weighed 260 pounds he'd still be 20x faster than him

Haye loves to hide behind mandatories and fight old men.

He needs to get bigger. He was under 224 last time, which must leave him very, very week.

I'd like to see him at 240. Then he might do some damage. Until then he will be pushed around like a little girl.
