Who has beaten more great fighters? Manny Pacquiao or Roberto Duran?

These two are n my top 3.

 

that post of yours were already answered by some posters (page 2 and 3, IRRC). i think pac has beaten more great fighters, but like someone said, duran has beaten greater fighters. duran is still ahead of pac (by a long margin) in atg rankings.

 

This is just ridiculous; as great as Pacquaio is, he is also the most hyped boxer on the planet.

This means people who obviously don't know **** and are new to boxing because of his hype, like ClassiusClayAli, will support him.

Duran wins this, he really does.

i'd also like to add that anyone who say's Ken Buchanan ain't an ATG has never seen him, its that simple. and Duran dominated him. aged 21.

This really is embarrassing stuff from the general forum; comparing Duran unfavorably to Pacquiao. wow.

and whats more embarrassing is there refusal to acknowledge that they don't know anything about Duran or boxing history, they just want to continue to hype up their man.

 

Duran beat greater fighters???? One guy? And not by knockout he like almost lost!!!! Manny has easily won this poll and the poll numbers are not fair. If it were everyone in the poll would vote for Manny because even duran fans know manny beat more greats!!!!!

Duran's opponents never fought at a catch weight and his opponents were prime!!!:hammertime

 

No real boxing critic will vote for PAc over Duran in any department unless they mention speed lol... PAc never beat a prime great opponent. What's next, PAc beat more great fighters than Ali, Louis, Robinson, and Armstrong lol... PAc was knocked out by two bums in 3 rounds lol... Duran lost to Hearns at 154 by ko at age 31...

i think it should be unanimous. Not about who is greater but who beat the greater fighters it is easy.

 

Pac beat older great fighters. None were in their prime...

 

Superior in what lol..beating past it champions lol... Duran went 72-1...PAc is what...and has been ko'd how many times lol... There is a reason Duran is on everyone's top 10 best who ever lived list... Your amateur question does nothing to promote Pac over Duran even when asking who beat the greater fighters

 

So if you really want Hatton go ahead and Include him, i could have put Davey Moore on their if you really think i was trying to stretch the list. Ok Dejesus probably doesnt rank as high as Morales does on any PFP list, but HTH and skill wise Dejesus was definitely on Par with him. Have you seen Dejesus fight?

I dont think i stretched Dejesus list of fighters all those guys i mentioned were HOFs,Great,Or should be in the HOF(See Dejesus).

The reason i included Barkely on the list was the size disparity and Durans accomplishment of beating the MW champ when he fought his pro debut at 119 Lbs!!


Also on Pacs resume should be a * next to Marquezs name since Many people(myself includedd) think Marquez deserved both of those fights.

 

The real question is who fought and beat the tougher comp during their careers lol... Duran could've fought Clottey, Dlh at 147, Cotto and Hatton with one arm lol... Duran could've used his ***** to ko Diaz lol...

 

Duran has the better wins on his resume than Pac does at this time, end of.
