superior beating greats!! I guess duran is greater at losing to greats since hearns and benitez and others all wiped the floor with him until he found easy touches to win titles with!!!! apparently duran is not top 10 in everyones list and he is going down in ranking yearly :yep

Manny...but not one of Manny's foes are on the level as Ray Leonard. Manny has more wins over legit greats but I think the depth of Duran's wins run deeper which would be looked at QUALITY over QUANTITY. Not that I'm knocking the greats Manny was able to knock off...I just feal the era Duran faught in was more talent rich and a more difficult to have had to compete in.

nallege that last comment by you demonstrates the possibility that your feelings for duran run deeper than any of us thought before!

That may be a stretch but I somewhat agree. DLH may have been a problem in his prime, but Duran is a great fighter and I do think his prime years were during an era where it was incredibly thick with competition at a high level. This is also a very talent and competitively rich era but not like it was during Duran's prime years. I think Duran could beat manny prime for prime...but also feel Duran would have slaughtered Floyd.

duran never dominated an all time great fighter and only beat one guy who was aall time. then he lost the rematch by quitting!!!!!! why would he quit? well most guys quit befoer being knocked out!!!!!! but lets all ignore the resume and just make excuses for him in his every loss no one gets credit for anything but duran because he had excuses that he never trained for any big fight!!!!!

Before we go any further here i think we should establish that were they the same size, the mighty Conteh would have mauled and knocked Manny out horribly.

He could have used two arms and got knocked out.

Actually, he would probably quit and walk out of the ring before he got knocked out, but you know what I mean.

:deal I've seen the Marquez fights repeatedly and there's no way Pac beat Marquez in either fight, so I can't give Pac credit for those fights. But aside from that, yes, Pac does have the better wins over pass their primes Barrera, Morales, Cotto, and Hatton. They are still great wins, but I don't see Manny beating any version of Leonard at 147. So Manny's beaten more great fighters, but none come close to a prime Leonard.

Also Duran is no Cotto, Hatton, or Clottey. Duran easily punched much harder than Pac and even tho he didn't match him in speed, he also had a granite chin. Please don't tell me Pac hits as hard as Tommy Hearns or Marvin Hagler. :patsch
