Wladimir Klitschko has publicly said that he wants to fight IBF mandatory Alexander Povetkin. So what can Povetkin do to win the fight?

I noticed that Wladimir traps you within his 1, 2 (ie left jab, right hand). If an orthodox boxer circles to Wladimir right, away from Wladimir's right hand, I think Povetkin might have a chance.

Chambers did what Chagaev did which was stand in front of Wladimir's 1, 2, and even when Chambers started to use his foot more he still circled towards Wladimir's right hand. You can't outbox Wladimir within his punching range.

Povetkin suits Wlad much better than Chambers. He literally has no upper body movement and gets hit quite easily. He comes to fight and will walk right into Klitschko's punches. The result will be a much more enjoyable fight.

Probably. For some reason I can't envisage Povetkin trying to counter punch the way other opponents have, which should make things more interesting. Having sad that, nearly all Klitschko opponents enter the ring scared. I don't see why Povetkin should be any different assuming the fight is in Germany

Will Povetkin take his mandatory shot now? That is the question.

I believe this is an opportunity for Wladimir to look much more impressive -- and earlier too. He stops Povetkin.

Povetkin needs to stop stalling with Teddy Atlas, step up, and take his beating.

He can either pass up the opportunity, lose the paycheque and possibly have to wait very long for another title shot or get his brains beaten in and take home decent money.

May as well make some cash while he's in the game

Perhaps after Wald beats him people will realize that the American heavyweights are notnas bad as they are made out to be, but that the Brothers Klitchko are acatuly very very good.

I wouldn't want to see this fight at all. Povetkin would do worse than Chambers in my opinion.

Screw that fight. povetkin sucks and all he is going to do is stand there and get his ass kicked. Wlad needs to fight HAYE next. Screw the belts if he gets stripped so what. Thats the fight everyone wants to see. Haye is going to hit Wlad back. Both fighters have power and they both have weak chins. What more could you ask for.

voice of ignorance. Those belts help sell fights to the Germans and other Europeans that order his fights, losing them might be the way to go for an American fighter fighting in Vegas but for a European who fights primarily in Germany, losing those belts might mean a million gone per fight.
