This post was originally going to be about how a rematch would play out between Bernard Hopkins and Felix Trinidad. I was going to say Trinidad was getting in the ring so he could get his ass kicked and suffer another humiliating loss. It’s never enough to ride off into the sunset a winner, true warriors always have to be beaten into retirement (Ali, Tyson, Foreman, Sugar Ray, etc).

    But then it hit me...

Felix Trinidad isn’t a boxing legend and certainly isn’t in the same class of the likes of Money, Hopkins, Jones, Wright, etc. I mean ffs, look at the biggest names on his resume. He beat a way over the hill Hector Camacho, a coked out over the hill Pernell Whitaker, a green and inexperienced Fernando Vargas, and an overrated walking target named Ricardo Mayorga. Don’t give me that De La Hoya bull**** either, because any true fan can tell you Trinidad didn't *win* anything. Oscar gave it away by being a sissy in the late rounds. In the last 8 years he’s only fought five times, and lost 3 of those in embarrassingly lopsided contests.

I understand Puerto Ricans love the guy and everything, but facts are facts. If Don King manages to ever get him in the ring again, it’s only going to result in another embarrassing and horrific loss to an average fighter.

Trinidad is not over rated at all. He also destroyed William Joppy, David Reid, and a 56-0, 50 ko's Yory Boy Campas. Campas may have turned out to be a gate keeper but Trinidad got him at his very best. Also, Ring Magazine had him as the 30th greatest puncher in history. I think that his two real losses, to Hopkins and Wright, were against hall of fame type fighters whose styles would give anybody fits. Lastly, he had the longest uninterrupted welterweight title run in history, from 1993-2001.

As long as he is out of the top 60 ATG, he is not overrated.

Barrera was #3 pound for pound when Pac first beat him and Marquez went on to become the lightweight champion after Pac beat him, so how exactly were they past their primes?

The guy in your avy just fought a 36 year old fighter and is fighting 38 year old next, you should have thought of that before you opened your mouth.

    Ok...Jacory,

I have been called the BIGGEST RACIST in ESB simply because of the "perception" that I ONLY LIKE Black America fighters. Now with that being said, Jacory, you and I have just become ENEMIES. There was NO fighter at 147-154lbs from 1993-2000 that could touch the NUT-SACKS of Felix "Tito" Trinidad...PERIOD, END OF DISCUSSION!!!

The problem that exposed his invincibility occurred when he began fighting above 154lbs. One of the biggest mistakes by a fighter in recent memory (the other being the fall of Roy Jones after fighting at HW).

So now consider me Public Enemy #1. I don't normally like to use this word (especially now that I am in my 40's).

    BUT "TITO"...THAT'S MY N***A!!!
