Without laughing can anyone here honestly argue that Wlad would beat a prime Tyson?

I think todays Wlad with Manny Steward in his corner would make it hard for prime Tyson, however his jaw would allow mike to win by mid - late round stoppage. If Wlad had Lennox's chin then late round TKO win for Wlad. Lets remember Tyrell Biggs and Frank Bruno both had a prime Tyson beat on points until they both decided to trade with Mike at close quarters. I'm a big Tyson fan and he was a force in the HW division, but honestly Mike is slightly overrated and has never beaten a top tier HW when they were in their prime. Spinks is the only great fighter Tyson beat IMO but he was a natural CW. Larry Holmes was way over the hill by the time Tyson beat him.

Tell me a prime HoF that Tyson did that to. "I wanna eat his children" is the most overrated fighter ever.

Hell, tell me one HOFer than Wlad has even got into the ring with.

Though I'm not blaiming Wlad for that, but to dengrate Tysons opposition in comparison to Wlads is outright ridiculous.

He was very focused for Tyson and was his career best that fight. Being in that form would have KO'd Klit. Even that version of Tyson would still have Ko'd Klit inside a few rounds

    I don't know who would win, as it'd be power/speed against size/reach.

    It'd be a fantastic match-up.

Also, I think most ESB'ers under-rate Wlad and over-rate Tyson.

I grew up watching Iron Mike.. I saw a lot of his fights on the way up.. saw him beat Spinks before the bell rang.. saw him get beat by Douglas. Saw his come-back.. watched the entire career up-and-down.. Mike was bigger than boxing, and thus a legend... but the Mike in the ring isn't as good or big as his legend outside.

Sorry to say that, but Klitschko is way too fast for Prime Tyson. WK would keep Tyson at range and score with his fencing left jab, avoid being hit, clinch whenever Tyson comes nearer than arm lenght. My prediction: UD 12 for Wladimir.
But a 25 year old Mike Tyson beats a 25 year old Klitschko easily...

I give him a small chance... Maybe about 20%. Don't forget even 'prime' Tyson had some 'trouble' with very tall fighters, but he would be a big favourite to me.
The 2000 and later version of Tyson however the tables are turned, then I give him nothing more then a punchers chance.

Whatever man. We all know who'd win this fight. It's not even worth debating over. But to each his own, think what you wanna think.

Just don't degrade Tyson's resume and defend Wlad, because that makes you look silly.

Why is everyone always compared to a 'Prime Tyson' on here? Tyson's fought in an awful era [85-88] and his best wins were old Holmes and Light Heavyweight Spinks. He was mentally fragile and had his ass handed to him by Buster Douglas in his 'Prime'.

Holyfield made Tyson his ***** twice. Why not use Holyfield? 'Prime Tyson' was very beatable by several fighters in History.
