His battles with Riddick Bowe were pretty damn good and of course beating a declining Tyson were pretty impressive but those are just my memories of him. I think he's an ATG

Thanks man. Different thread but I doubt any of the guys you mentioned beat a prime Real Deal him with the exception of Ali. I also think Holmes beats him head to head!

    Very good win.

Very good win, but Tyson was past best by then, Pre-Douglas Tyson stops him, IMO.

One close win and two decisive losses here.

    But a good win nonetheless.

    Decent win, but nothing special

    Good win.

I would scarcely even count this.

Buster was a one trick pony in poor shape.

    But a good win.

An ancient Foreman. Prime Foreman murders him.

Extensive use of the billy goat technique here (and throughout his career).

Best cruiserwt ever. (Though Marciano would have been Cruiser wt in Holy's era and would, IMO have beaten him.)

Holy is an ATG and a very good HWt, but not a top 10 HWt.

Bull****! Every American fighter lost everytime the Korean judges were up. Holyfeild was the most glaring example of Korean bias.

He puts all his heart into his fight despite being the smaller boxer. Works really hard, and never gives up.

U can't pigeon hole his career like that! It was the way he performed and the adveristy he waged war against that made him special.

    AND

Hand on heart were you saying Mike was past it in 1996? WERE U ****!!!

PS Evander Holyfield would use Rocky Marciano as a ****in punch bag! He tore through too many big men to be threatened by a guy less skilled and smaller than he was and Holyfield was just as tough if not TOUGHER! **** nostalgia - I'm not one of these guys who gets a hard on because someone fights in black and white.
