because to fight fans that have enjoyed the sport for years.... they remember his to be a warrior that gave great fights and 100% of himself...

now that he is faded with age...he still gives 100% of himself.... a true warrior.
I don't care what anyone says about him..

    Both fights were equally contraversial.

    Look Stupid

You ran through his career and mentioned a win here and a win there like it was run of the mill wins that were expected. I'm saying there is more to it than that.

In response to your Tyson bull****. To slate that win by mentioning Tyson being "past his best" is disrespect. Holyfield was a massive underdog and four years older than his opponent. You would have been sitting watching that in 1996 on your mom's lap jerking off for a 1st round KO and you ****in know it!

And finally since you're clearly chugging ****. You can be a victim of nostalgia without having been around when the fights took place so that logic is bull****. Marciano has "virtually" no advantages of any kind over Holyfield and would have got battered for as long as the fight lasted. Skill wise there was no comparison.

Back to biting pillow for you!

had nothing to with any judges
holyfield was disqualified by a ref for a bull**** " verbal command" to stop throwing a punch....as a left hook was already in motion screaming at ...of all people david tuas old manager.... Kevin Barry
he was 10 times better than the guys who won silver and gold

The two highlighted are not certain to beat him IMO. I'm the biggest Louis fan you will find by I think he may lose the 1st in a 3 fight series.

Can't see ANYONE stopping Holyfield on his best night.

Either way, the opening post is probably the most painful I have read on the General for a LONG time, and that is saying something.

Same here pal, but I've seen the Shomo fight. Competitive that was, really like the way Stable mixes up shots from head to body, got nice 'Pop' as well (in terms of the actual noise his punches make:D)

One guy who truly deserves the ATG label. Laughable how that term is so abused.

As the Foreman win did for Ali, Holyfield's win over Tyson in 1996 catapulted him into all time great status and he was already a great fighter before that.

It's easy to forget how big that win was and it sticks in the throat of a lot of Tyson fans. Holyfield beat the **** out of Tyson and his confidence before, during and after was unforgetable. I've never been so stunned with a result and had a buzz for days afterwards.

Anyone who has to ask what the big deal is with The Real Deal wasn't there to share his most glorious moments. The guy was ****in awesome!

    Holyfield's an ATG.

It's sad how quickly some people forgot what he was like, and just look at what he is now.
