I want to see this fight just on the off-chance that Khan can do the impossible and get sparked out by a feather-fisted fighter.

I actually like Khan too. I always root for him. But if any world title-caliber fighter on the planet can get KO'd by Paulie, I think it's Khan !

Maybe, but I have a feeling his chin will be a bit better up at light welter.

    This would be great.

But I'd rather see signs of a long term commitment to the sport, rather than just the odd fight here and there.

No i just rather he tried to prove people wrong than talk up a fighter that has **** all power! I think paulie is a good fighter just seems hes cherry picking fighters with now power or beating up old men

To be fair though, Malignaggi is a bigger name than Valero or Maidana, for example who would Mayweather or Pacquiao be most likely to get in the ring with, Malignaggi, Valero or Maidana??

Khan is only 22 though and in a very tough weight class. He's not going to be able to cherry pick fighters forever and is looking to build his name up in the US by taking on a decent name in Malignaggi.

I'm not a huge fan on Khan but i also can't really find fault with the way he's going about things currently.

he beat his mandatory who was salita, which means he's entitled to fight who he wants next, its a new challenge for him to fight away from home in paulies backyard and try to knock him out, if he does this i will be impressed as malignaggi has a good chin, he's progressing just fine at 22, give him a break, he's not playing it safe like hatton or calzaghe which i commend

I don't think Khan warrents criticism for this match up, Malignaggi is well known and seasoned, Khan is out to make a name for himself by adding a named fighter to his list. Sure, it's attractive as he isn't taking on power but ****, it's not like he is picking a bum to get an easy notch on his cv. On the day that the great Harry Carpenter moved onto where ever it is the good guys go, i'd love to see it confirmed that this was going to be on national tv, bring boxing back to the masses!

I think Khan is a glass jawed *****, but to bash him for fighting Paulie is a bit stupid, Paulie is by far the hardest fight of his career add to that he is fighting In Paulie's back yard props to Khan.
