The HW scene will be effectively cleaned out. The brothers could conceivably take all 3 out this year. Is there anyone else up and coming to get excited about?
Okay. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the Haye and Povetkin fights a lot. I would really like to see how Wladimir handles Povetkin even though he might be wide open for punches I'd like to see how he will handle Wladimir with his activity and if his chin will hold up. A Haye fight is a huge one as well so the division has some good fights to offer even if few.
Boytsov Helenius Pulev wouldn't mind seeing Volodymr vs Arreola either. Maybe Peter again too if he keeps looking good and he's cleaned everyone else out.
I think Boystov has a shot, maybe Helenius or Pulev in the near future... There will always be new talent, when not the US then from the former communistic countries. ^ you see ^ they think so too!
The HW scene sure is sad Boytsov? Helenius?? Pulev?? I really hope that the heavyweights can be the same as they were before the 90's in my lifetime. The brothers are good but when the opposition is as bad as it is right now. Than it isn't easy man. Haye has the best thing going for him besides the brothers and Solis and Povetkin are good but they don't have that extra thing that makes a fighter special.
Haye and Adamek are the only threats Povetkin has lost his bottle and Solis has forgotten where the gym is
Yup, that's pretty much the list. I'd throw Adamek in there as well if he can get past Arreola. Guys like Wilder, Hamer and Mike Perez are too far away to make noise whilst the Klits are in their primes. And the only one I'd even give a shot is Helenius, just because he's big, powerful and aggressive, but he would need to make massive strides to get to the level where he could beat them. Boytsov had promise at one point, but Fritz Sdunek has turned him into a poor man's Povetkin and taken away most of his raw aggression. I like Pulev a lot, but I don't see him being any better than a bunch of guys Wlad has already beaten (i.e. Ibragimov and Chagaev).
