Just heard on the local news he is returning from Florida because of sub-par training facilities. Couldn't get a tee time? :think

Poll stands at 90/73 for Martinez. ESB has spoken. No use Kelly even bother to train I guess.

Yeah. That is a bit weird.

I'm cheering for Sergio, but I wouldn't have got him down as anything but an underdog. The forum's strange like that.

The boxing community has lost its collective mind. I just read an article that refers to Sergio Martinez as a "defensive specialist." Lack of defensive fundamentals is the man's single greatest liability!

I can see Sergio going into survival mode early in this fight. Of course if Sergio bolted over the top rope and fled in fear at the opening bell there would be certain posters on here criticizing Kelly for not getting the KO.

Pavlik has always had the physical attributes to make him a great champion and it's still not too late. He really, really needs another trainer to add to his arsenal. He depends too much on the same things. Double jab, right hand. Double jab, right hand. He's a very good fighter, but he can still up his game. He has heart, but he needs to polish his skills and work at not being hit so much which is going to happen with Martinez.

Your post contains a serious contradiction. You said Pavlik should focus on getting hit less, and then critisized Leow for trying to prevent KP from catching right hand counters. One of Pavlik's worst habits is throwing single jabs when he should throw doubles. He throws singles and gets countered by right hands when he should prevent the counter by throwing doubles. That is why Jack Leow is always screaming at Pav to "double the ****ing jab!"

Nope -- they'll drink down a big glass of hater-aid, and then abuse KP for fighting "smaller guys."

And speaking of Smaller guys; the 30 day weigh in was the other day. Martinez 168. Pavlik 174.

I know NJ has limits for title fights. I don't remember them but I'd have to say 10% is OK 30 days out based on this?
