Wlad would avoid that left hook with ease. Tua is what, 5'10? He would be the shortest opponent of Wlad's career, by far and he doesn't have a style to get inside a tall fighter with a good jab. Chagaev and Byrd are taller and have better movement than Tua and they would not have beaten Wlad even if they had Tua's power because the simply couldn't land a damn thing. If Wlad is one of the best ever in one thing, it's range control. Tua isn't Tyson when it comes to movement. Even a shot Tyson had one good round against Lewis, a prime Tua couldn't do anything to Lewis, even in the early rounds. Wlad is faster than people give him credit for, because a tall man just doesn't look as fast to the naked eye. Chambers didn't really have a significant speed advantage and he is three inches taller than Tua,so Tua would have to be much faster than Chambers to land something on Wlad. I seriously doubt that Tua has that kind of speed.
Tua landed one clean shot on Lewis, during Round 6 if memory serves. Just one. He was a fat plodder during that so-called "fight", which was an hour out of my life I'll never get back again, and that was nearly a decade back. I don't see the point of him returning, he has nothing left to offer the HW's, not at his age. At one point he was hailed as the new Mike Tyson, shortly after the latter was KO'ed by Holy, but that was a LONG time ago, even before the awful snooze fest of October 2K. Hey, let him prove me wrong, I'd rather be wrong and entertained than right and bored shitless, but we know he won't.
I read an interview with Tua's trainer on B-scene last week - he sounded pretty irate that Tua had put on weight and was looking terrible in sparring, despite their being "third-rate fighters". It'll be interesting to see how he does in this upcoming fight, which should be his biggest challenge in years. Whatever happens though, Tua will never beat Wlad and I'd bet my life on that. He'll plod forwards while eating the jab for 12 rounds straight. Wlad by shut-out.
He's actually in good shape for Friday, and he looked very sharp against Shane Cameron, I think he'll KO Friday IMO. Yeah. He never really relied on skills, he relied on his chin, and the left hook.
Please look again the Lewis fight; Tua DID land some bombs on Lennox but he could take them. I am sure Wlad can not avoid tha left hook for the whole night, and his chin is nowhere as strong. I do think a motivated and in shape Tua could KO Wlad.
Man you can be reasonable at times but a clueless **** others. They would KO a guy who's never been ko'd would they?atsch How the hell do you come to that conclusion? Because you aren't basing it on the Johnson/Chambers fights, that's for sure.
