Im in between as who I want to win the Froch/Kessler fight but if Froch does that dirty **** he did to Dirrell then I hope Kessler decapitates him:bbb

I am not sure why people are excited about this fight. Martinez does not have the firepower to keep Pavlik off him and Pavlik is the bigger and stronger man. And Martinez got in a war with Williams. He cannot get in a war with Pavlik. Pavlik will stop him midrounds. I am not sure why people think this is a great fight. This is a fight were Pavlik should win easily enough.

 

Last poll I saw had Martinez pretty much even with folks voting Sergio by stoppage. Public poll too. After watching his last fight a couple if times I'm pretty much of the same opinion as you. Williams went out of his way to make Sergio look good. Paul's corner pretty much said the same thing during the fight.

 

I see this as a big advantage for Pavlik. Williams/Pavlik would have been great. I guess Pavlik now wants to fight the smaller guys moving up. That will probably give him the power advantage, but when he wins he will not get as much credit.

Actually Pavlik won the 6th round, and the 10th was even, so right off, on your very first post, you followed the standard ESB protocol by posting historical inaccuracies.

Pavlik would be fighting Williams in April if PW had the balls, and Williams/Martinez was the last fight for Paul and Sergio, so it is relevant to bring up both fighters on this thread. Hopkins is not relevant to the subject at hand.

It's not really a matter of Pavlik wanting to fight smaller guys who are moving up. It's more a matter of 160 being a pretty dead division. Martinez is the best fighter who is actually available and willing to take the fight.
