I am not discounting the possibility that Foreman could out muscle, out hussle and eventually knock Wlad out... I just don't think its a foregone concluson, and for as many problems that Foreman brings to the table, Wlad arguably brings just as many.... I'd say this is a pick'em fight, and both men have chances that are about 50/50...

Fair enough, Foreman certainly had problems with boxers but he did usually land something, Ali/Lyle had to go throug hhell I'm not sure Wladamir could handle. BTW if you want to see foreman destroy a 6'7 fighter, see the Cooney fight, not quite the same league but impressive

Also bare in mind Wlads mentality can be to get very scared under pressure from punchers, against Foreman he'd be facing the most intimidating fighter ever and this could see him making more mistakes. Wlad certainly has the poweer to hurt George, frankly I dont think he has the balls to land his best shots though

To make it fair Foreman should probably be given modern supplements/nutrition/steroids, he'd just be a monster

Wlad is an ATG in terms of H2H, this is a bad style though imo

I agree about Wlad's confidence being shaken, and should he panic against a man like Foreman, it may prove to be the death of him... If he stays calm and adheres to an appropriate fight plan, he's got a pretty good chance I think... As for Foreman being on roids, that would certainly be a scary site...

foreman of the norton fight would be a bad fight for wlad, pressure + huge puncher = a bad ko loss for captain boring klit

The problem is that people on here just see Foreman = power + pressure and Wlad = bad chin. And then they assume this is all there is to say. But it is not. Wlad has a style and size advantage over George and this would make a big impact on the fight. I see Wlad winning more often than not. Don't get me wrong Foreman has a big chance but I wouldn't make him the favourite.

TRICKY! VERY TRICKY!! If George Foreman comes to KO his man and get rough with Wlad Klit, Foreman wins by KO............... BUT! If Foreman shows up like he did for Jimmy Young merely looking to lolly-gag about the ring, Wlad Klit keeps him at the end of a jab and wins on points..... A duel scenario..........

Wlad is bigger ,but I don't necessarily see a style advantage for him here .
The best puncher Wlad fought kod him ,and Sanders was nowhere near as powerful,or as strong as George. The second best puncher he faced stopped him ,and the third had him down too. Foreman would come at Wlad and once in range unload. I dont think Wlad has either the chin or the equanimity to cope with the pressure and power Foreman would put on him,I think he panics and folds under it.

Would Wladimir have survived the 7th round of Foreman-Young?

I can't say I've been overly impressed with Klitschko's survival skills when hurt.

I'm gonna say Foreman because Sam Peter did okay against Wlad, and Foreman was better than Peter with a similar style.

Young later admitted Foreman could have blown him over,he was that badly stunned. I am not a big Young fan ,but he is a more proven fighter than the likes of Chambers imo.Wlad looks good against cautious boxers who lack power that is NOT FOREMAN.

Despite Young winning the fight, I'd say that he is a far better match-up for Wladimir than Foreman. Young beats Foreman, Wladimir beats Young, Foreman beats Wladimir, that's how I see it.

Young had an iron chin and was only down against arguably the hardest hitter of all time Earnie Shavers in a career where he faced some of the biggest punchers to ever compete. I can't see Wladimir knocking him out but I think he would have won a decision.

Me too. Young was not prepared to put out what was needed to win in many fights.Wlad would peck and poke at him from distance.Young's lack of power would mean he could only win by dec and that would not happen ,it would be a snore.
Foreman ices Wlad, of that I am convinced.

True... But If Foreman fails to really hurt Wlad Klit, Foreman would fall behind on points and possibly lose a decision...... I like Foreman's thudding jab on a 1 or 2 stick at a time basis, but Wlad Klit's jab is a constant pumping weapon.... I see Wlad winning the battle of jabs, but not actually the battle of wills'..... INTERESTING FIGHT!!
