Had there been a rematch Lacey would've beat Calzaghe. Im convinced Lacy was drugged.

    If only Lacey would have thrown his jab more he could've taken Joe. I think in a rematch he would've eventually knocked Joe out by applying effective pressure and fighting HIS fight, not Calzaghe's. In the first fight Calzaghe was getting away with A LOT of holding and it threw Lacey off his game plan. Not to mention that the fight was at an odd hour for Lacey. In a rematch Dave Birmingham and the Lacey team could have tweaked a few minor things and he definitely would have been more aggressive and got his rhythm going early. There is no doubt in my mind that Lacey was drugged that night in the UK.

    Drugged for sure. Calzaghe is not nearly as good as jeff lacy.

    european fighters are notorious for drugging their opponents and then going slap happy.
